This humanitarian aid will be given until a solution is resulted for this issue.

VIVAnews - The Indonesian government will extend the staying permit of 400 Rohingya refuges who are now waiting in Aceh. This humanitarian aid will be given until a solution is resulted for this issue.

"The Indonesian government will have a bilateral cooperation with Mynmar that will be also involved UNHCR and the International Organization for Migration," said the presidential spokesperson Dino Patti Djalal after Myanmar Prime Minister General Thein Sein's visit at the Merdeka Palace.

In the previous ASEAN Summit, it is agreed that the solution of this issue is creating a regional agreed decision. It will involve the home country, transit country, and destination country.

Thein Sein said that his country gave a great concern over this matter. Mynmar principally will accept the Rohingyas back to the country as long as they can prove that they are citizens of Myanmar.

It is suspected that there are several refuges who came from Bangladesh and other countries. "They said that from several inspected people, there was only one person who could give his Myanmar ID card," he said.

There are 391 Rohingyas who are now temporarily living in Aceh. They are separated in two shelters. The first group, total of 193 people and arrived on Jan. 7, is in We Island, and the second group, total of 198 people and arrived on Feb. 3, is in Indirayo Sub-district, East Aceh.

On the Prime Minister's visit, he also explained on the development of democratic road map implementation which is made of seven steps. At this present time, Myanmar enters the last stage where this country will celebrate elections and new parliament.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono stressed on the importance of a credible, transparent, and fair elections. "The President gave Indonesia [elections] as an example. Our elections is credible, open, and fair. The world automatically welcomes and accepts the result of the elections," Djalal said.

Both countries discussed on bilateral agenda on politics, security, law, economy, social, and culture. The President also talked into trading economy increase.

Meanwhile, 2006-2007 trading between Indonesia and Myanmar increases for 89 percent. The number reaches US$300 million, but it is still far from the expected.
