A Rohingya Woman Mother Of Three Gang-Raped By Four Soldiers In Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakan – A Rohingya woman from Baw-Day-Dar-Bil, Bauk Shu Fara (Aung Zan) village tract in Maungdaw township of Arakan was gang-raped by four soldiers who are stationed in the village as security personnel.

On January 21, 2014 at 4 pm Amina Katoo (30-years-old), wife of Nazir Ahmed, mother of three children, was gang-raped by four soldiers at gun point. The soldiers entered the victim’s house and pointed everyone at home with guns and threatened that everyone they would be killed if they shouted. Then they raped the woman one by one.

Amina’s husband was working at his paddy field while the preverted, sadistic, rapist soldiers entered the house. Three young children were at home at that time they were also at gun point and unable to ask a help from neighbours. 

The evil rapist soldiers are from regiment no. 345 based in Maungdaw township. The locals informed the incident to regiment commander lieutenant colonel Thawdar Swe. The regiment commander didn’t take any action against the animalistic rapist soldiers.
