Joint press release
HUMANITY GONE AMOK IN BURMA, SAVE ROHINGYA PEOPLE

We the undersigned organizations have strongly condemned President Thein Sein for his disowning the Rohingyas. It is an irresponsible action that the President had proposed UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres that sending the Rohingyas to refugee camps run by the UNHCR was the “only solution” to the issue. He also nonsensically said, “We will send them away if any third country would accept them”.

The statement of the President Thein Sein affirms the Government’s premeditated plan and direct involvement in the killing, destruction, rape, extortion, loot and starvation of the Rohingyas in Arakan. It can be considered a case of genocide.

The Rohingyas have a long glorious history in Arakan. There is no doubt the Rohingya population has been in Burma since before the formation of the State. By international law they are NOT ‘stateless’ in Burma. They conform to a genuine and effective link with no other State except Burma. The Government does not wish to recognize Rohingyas’ citizenship does not make them stateless.

The fundamental obligations of the State are to protect all persons within its jurisdictions. It is factually nonsense to call ‘illegally entered Rohingyas’. It is time for Bangladesh to stand up against Burmese Government’s false accusation.

We, therefore, appeal to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon to immediately intervene in the issue in order to save the life, property, honour and human dignity of the Rohingya people. We also urge upon the EU, ASEAN, USA and all governments and international community to pressurize the Burmese Government to stop persecution of Rohingyas and to restore their rights and freedom on par with other ethnic groups of the country.

  2. Thein Sein in the Killing Field of Arakan

In the killing field Arakan, Thein Sein, a former General now pretending as a democrat is clearly a wolf in sheep's skin. If Rohingyas can prove that the June massacre is a genocide, Thein Sein;s recent statement would involve him as an accessory to his crime against humanity.

  3. Stupid, ineligible government of Myanmar, even no shame and don't know how to dialogue in good politicians, even not going to accept his mother and father this kind of stupidity political dialogue. We are the Rohingya, not useless and stupid but just looking and be patience and also trying our best to solve the this long genocide for the ethic Rohingya of arakan by the UN convention protocol and act of international human right, although if there is no more improve for a permanent solution for this ethnic minority, we promise that by grace of ALLAH, going to a best action unless to take over the Arakan as soon as possible "impossible is nothing ". Note: On that time you won't have time to run away! Inshaa Allah Arakan will be freed and establish a Muslim modern democracy country.

  5. Hamid, I am a Muslim from Burma and as a Muslim I don't agree with you on establishing a Muslim country. Because of the people like you, Muslims were easily blamed by those racist. This world is not for us so we don't need to dominant in this world let alone start a war. Yes, we could defend and fight back when injustice were done to a community even it is not a Muslim. I know your anger but you shouldn't act based on that but with clear intelligent. There is definitely no need to convert a country to what one community believe because even our Prophet (pbuh) could not do it and did not do it. Even Jews were allowed to live and practise freely under his control.
To neo-nazi rakhaing and Burmese racist, the whole world is watching and just don't think you could get away with such horrible genocide. Like your Buddha said, you will payback for what you have done whether you believed it or not. Be afraid. Be really afraid, you insecure people. Your time will come. Inshallah, you won't suffer as your victims did. I really wish other community and innocent people, children will not pay for your racist crimes. . .
