Burmese hip-hop artist Anegga Video Interview with Al jazeera about recent Reform and Human Rights

Anegga (Rapper)
Myanmar's civilian government has made a number of reforms to improve its record in human rights. Since late 2011, it has been reported that hundreds of political prisoners have been released, restrictions on freedom of speech and internet access have been relaxed, and a number of peace deals with ethnic rebel groups have been made.

But has the government actually followed through on their word, and have the changes made a real difference in the lives of Burmese citizens?

In this episode of The Stream, we speak to Myra Dahgaypaw (@myradah), a campaign coordinator at the US Campaign for Burma and Anegga Tweezy (@anegga), a Burmese hip-hop artist.

What do you think? Are government reforms having a real effect on the lives of Burmese citizens? Send us your thoughts and comments on Facebook or Twitter using hashtag#AJStream.
