Thursday, 25th October 2012 Kyauk Taw, Arakan- Starting 5:30 AM this morning, Bengali Rakhine terrorists in Kyaukaw townships have been surrounding Rohingya villages such as Paik Saik Rua Thaik and Lat Song Kok villages. Besides, in the attacks against Rohingya villagers by Bengali Rakhine Terrorists and Burmese Military, three Rohingyas died and other three injured. The profiles of the killed Rohingyas are:

2) Bilal Son of Bali (18) years
3) Zalal Son of Jamal Uddin (25) years

Besides, six Rohingyas got injured in the village, Paik Saik Rua Thaik. The number of killed and injured Rohingyas will be many but due to communication problems, we can’t confirm the exact numbers.

Kyauk Phru, Arakan- Since yesterday early morning, Rakhine terrorists have burnt down one Rohingya quarter and a village called Zailla Fara @Paik Seik Rua out of total three Rohingya residentials in the town. Fire brigade fueled the fire caught Rohingya villages using patrol instead of putting off the fire. About 2000 Rohingyas and Kamans together escaped to the sea by 50 boats.

According to the latest news, fourteen boats loaded with escaping Kamans and Rohingyas docked at the Akyab (Sittwe) beach. But the navy is not allowing them to get on the shore without the permission of Naypyitaw. In another boat trying to sail off, all Rohingya and Kaman men were killed by the terrorists on the spot and their women were raped and gang-raped. The children in the boat were also killed. Meanwhile, there is no news of other 35 boats and might be still be floating at the sea.

More than 600 Rohingyas and Kamans trying to escape the mass killings by other 20 boats were killed in one scene took place earlier as their boats were torched using fire-rockets by the terrorists.

Pauktaw, Arakan- There were 100 Rohingyas, from Quarter No. 3, Pauktaw Township, trying to escape the slaughters and get into Akyab (Sittwe) using four engineless boats. A group of armed Rakhine terrorists stopped them on their ways and shifted all women and children to their boat and killed all Rohingya young and elderly men inhumanely in the river. Only a young boy escaped from the apartheid and is being examined by the military official in Quarter No. 4 of Pauktaw. Nothing has been known about Rohingya women and Children abducted by the terrorists.

Mre-Bun, Arakan- Out of the five Rohingya quarters with about 600 homes and 4500 population in Mre-Bun Township, four were burnt down by the Bengali Rakhine terrorists. Many Rohingyas and Kamans were killed.

As of today, around 3913 Rohingyas gathered and crowded in the remaining unburned village called No. 5- Taung Chay Quarter. Since thousands of Rakhine terrorists have been surrounding the village since yesterday and because of continual attacks against Rohingyas, 25 Rohingyas died and other 300 got injured. Out of the killed 25 Rohingyas, two were infants. They have no more food rations and they will die due to starvation if the situation continues.

It is very difficult to get information out of these regions because of the lack of good telecommunication structures.

Rathedaung, Arakan- About 6000 Rakhine extremists gathered in Rathedaung today. While they were about to attack Rohingyas, Military stopped them (Rakhines) saying “your number is not enough to kill Kulars especially if they combine with Kulars from Buthidaung. Gather more people and attack Kulars.” Therefore, the attack against Rohingyas can break out anytime in Rathedaung.

Maung Daw, Arakan- Authority is shifting all Rakhine women and children from their respective villages and gathering in the downtown with full security, while leaving Rakhine men behind. According to Rohingyas in Maung Daw, it is the preliminary step to carry out apartheid against them.

Besides, a joint force of military, police, Security Guards and NaSaKa etc is harassing and raping Rohingya women and girls passing by their camp nearby the Black Bridge located beyond Myoma Kayindan.

Till date, six Rohingya villages in Min-Bya Township and two in Pattharkilla (Mrauk-U) township were demolished by the Rakhine terrorists. About 4000 Rohingya houses and a dozen of religious sites were razed to the ground.

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, strongly denounced today, Tuesday, 23 October 2012, the reported riots which erupted in Minbyar Township, Rakhine State in Western Myanmar leaving three people dead and causing the destruction of houses of worship and more than 400 homes.

The Secretary General urges the Government of Myanmar to take all necessary steps to end the violence undertaken by some gangs against the Rohingya minority and restore calm to the region. This outbreak of violence is a continuation of events that started in June 2012 and has caused the deaths of scores and the displacement of thousands. Reports of forced evacuation, targetted violence against women, including rape and the destrucion of home and villages are deplorable.

The Secretary General calls on the international community to urge the Myanmar Government to ensure that the situation on the ground in the State of Rakhine does not escalate and put the lives of innocent civilians at risk. The Myanmar authorities should reinstate the legitimate rights of the Rohingya Muslims including their right of citizenship.

On 25th October, 2012, at 5:30am, thousands of Bengali Rakhine Terrorists in coalition with police surrounded a Rohingya village, Let Saung Kauk village, Kyauk Taw Township. While Rohingyas were praying their early morning prayer (Fajar Namaz) in a mosque in congregation, these Rakhine terrorists set fire initially at the south edge of the said village. Not fewer than 20 Rohingya houses were burnt down to ashes. These Bengali Rakhine terrorists are equipped with guns, most probably provided by the government armed officers, openly fired to the Rohingya mob, who are totally helpless and trying their best to escape only from the life-risk. Two Rohingya were shot to death by these Terrorist and Police on the spot. One Rohingya was seriously injured. The killed Rohingyas are identified:

1. Bay Larl (F) U Ba Lii

2. Son of Bi Ya Roe (his name is still under inquisition process)

The injured Rohingya is Raha Nawddin, son of U Khin Maung, 45 years and he was fired by police face-to-face. It is a big question to everybody whether he will be alive or dead soon. His father is a pensioner of a government department. Now military is trying to control the situation in a certain degree.

This report is compiled by basing on the telephone talk with a villager from the violence happening.

More than a thousand homes have been razed in renewed ethnic violence between Burma's Rakhine Buddhists and its Rohingya Muslim minority.

Curfews were enforced in two towns in Rakhine state in north-west Burma following new clashes just months after more than 80 people were killed in June.

Then, violence broke out following claims that a Buddhist woman was raped by three Rohingya Muslim men.

Rohingya leaders claim more than 600 of their people were killed, hundreds more remain missing and more than 80,000 fled their homes.

The violence has spread to neighbouring Assam in India and to Bangladesh where Buddhist temples have been attacked by Rohingya groups seeking revenge.

The continuing violence erupted as world leaders lauded the efforts of President Thein Sein and the country's Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi to usher in new democratic reforms.

Since then, Aung San Suu Kyi has been criticised for ducking questions on the clashes although on Tuesday she voiced her concerns and said the absence of rule of law was to blame.

"Of course I am worried about the situation there. Actually, this situation can be expected. As I often said, there must be the rule of law to prevent this sort of problem. It cannot be sorted out overnight," she said.

The conflict however remains unsolved and three people have been killed since Sunday in clashes which saw more than 1000 homes burned to the ground. Curfews were imposed in Minbya and Mrauk Oo, but has spread to other towns.

According to Reuters, violence had yet to be contained in Myay Bone, where local sources blamed Rohingyas for the clashes. "The local Rohingyas prepared boats for escape. Just before escape, they started setting fires. Then the Arakans (local Rakhine people) chased them down, seized one of the Rohingyas who had started a fire and also burnt the Rohingyas' boats prepared for escape," the source said.

The Rohingya Muslims are believed to be one of the world's most persecuted groups. There are an estimated 800,000 living close to Burma's border with Bangladesh but neither state accepts them as their own.In Burma they are regarded as 'Bengali immigrants'.

Buddhist monks hold a placard as they protest against the opening of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) offices in Burma, near Shwedagon Pagoda in Rangoon on 15 October 2012. (Reuters)

A group of Arakanese monks have called for Rohingya “sympathisers” to be targeted and exposed as “national traitors” while tensions again flare between Buddhists and Muslims in Burma’s westernmost state.

In a document seen by DVB, the All-Arakanese Monks’ Solidarity Conference have urged locals to distribute images of anyone alleged to be supporting the stateless minority group to all townships in the region, potentially opening them up to violent attacks by nationalist extremists.

The ten-point document also calls for the creation of security bodies led by monks intended to enforce and safeguard discipline, “to establish a magazine, covering all of Arakan state, to promote [Buddhist] religion” and renewed calls for the Rohingya to be expelled from Burma.

“The president has been very clear that the Arakan issue should not be seen as a religious one, but if anyone is trying to establish it as a religious issue it’s definitely the monks now,” said Chris Lewa, head of the Arakan Project.

Lewa, who has recently returned from Arakan state’s capital Sittwe, told DVB that ethnic Arakanese are already terrified of helping any foreigners travelling to the region, and the monks’ move could have a devastating humanitarian impact.

“The Rakhines [Arakanese] are mostly afraid of their own community if they do anything that can be seen to be helping or supporting the Muslim community.”

Violence erupted again this weekend with reports of casualties following fresh clashes between Arakanese Buddhists and Muslim Rohingyas in Min Bya and Mrauk U townships. A curfew has been imposed in both areas.

Last week, President Thein Sein suspended plans for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to open a humanitarian liaison office in Sittwe, after monks across the country staged mass rallies against the move.

“I am amazed that they arrested peace activists demonstrating in Yangon [Rangoon] over Kachin state, but just allow this promotion of hatred, especially by people like the monks, who would be the best actors to try to calm things down – it seems to be completely unbelievable,” said Lewa.

Many Arakanese monks have repeatedly called on local Buddhists to sever all relations with the Rohingya community, including trade and the provision of humanitarian aid.

“It is deeply depressing to see this kind of intolerance and nationalism on the rise, and going unchallenged by most democratic leaders. The more this kind of extremism goes unchallenged the bolder those promoting hatred and intolerance become,” Mark Farmaner from Burma Campaign UK told DVB.

“Burma is a multi-cultural, multi-racial multi-religion country. If this isn’t recognised and accepted there will be no end to conflict in Burma.”

On Sunday, President Thein Sein reluctantly recognised the need for humanitarian assistance to the conflict-torn state, but only after sustained international pressure.

“We are not in a situation to feed the people in the camps with the help of ordinary citizens so we have to accept humanitarian assistance from the international community,” he said. ”If we do not accept the humanitarian assistance they will say we are not human.”

But despite international pledges of assistance, Lewa says the conditions in the camps for displaced Rohingyas remain “very poor” and are permeated by a “lack of hope”.

Tensions flared in Arakan state after the rape and murder of an ethnic Arakanese woman – allegedly by three Muslims – sparked a series of revenge attacks and communal riots, which killed 87 people and displaced nearly 100,000. Displaced Rohingyas have been segregated in camps away from the Arakanese majority and are unable to travel freely.

On 24th October, 2012 (i.e. today), over three thousands Rohingyas, whose houses were burnt down to ashes, from Ywa Thit and Ywa Haung villages, Pauk Taw township, took refuge near a bank of a river nearby. Out of all, about two thousands fortunately got chance to load on seven engine boats, fifty five paddling boats and one sampan and headed to an unknown destination, where they hope they can escape from life-risk. When they were on the way, a group of Bengali Rakhine terrorists approached to these floating boats and by many means, these Bengali Rakhine terrorists forcibly made five boats and the very sampan loaded with helpless Rohingyas sunk in the water. Around one hundreds Rohingyas died after this inhuman action. Only one 13-years-old Rohingya teenager survived and could manage to get to another Rohingya-loaded boat. All the corpses have been floating on the water up to now (11:30pm of today). After that, the remaining Rohingyas on the boat discussed and decided to head to a village, May Yurr Kul, Pauk Taw Township. When they reached to the said village, they tried to load off from the boat and get on land. But, cruel Battalion (Hlun Tin) forces and military did not allow them to get on land. After failure to get on land, they all proceeded to Anaw Rhine village. Bad luck followed them that they were again not allowed to get on land. Upon several requests to let to meet a Rohingya, Haji U Mohammed Ullah, a village elder from the said village, five of these floating Rohingyas were allowed to get on land and now (reporting time) these five representatives from the floating Rohingyas are going to meet the said village elder.

The remaining Rohingyas around one thousand and three hundred, who have been stuck near the bank of the river since there were not enough number of boat available, were given final warning by the Bengali Rakhine Terrorists to flee from the river bank before 8:00am of tomorrow (25th October, 2012). In the warning, it was clearly said that they will be killed if they don’t following the final warning. Currently, military take security for them only up to the time of the final warning. None of these victims hopes to see the sunlight of tomorrow.

The information is collected from a villager of Anaw Rhine village.

During the last 24 hours, BROUK has received the following information from the ground;

1. A Rakhine mob set fire to Yin Thae Village and Parin village of Mrauk Oo where Rohingya are living. Police forces were seen giving containers of petrol to the mob to burn down Rohingya houses. More than 600 houses burnt down in both villages. Eyewitnesses say that more than 100 Rohingya were killed by the mob while setting the fires.

2. According to an escaped victim, many Rohingya had run away to hide. Police had called them out of their hiding places saying that they (the police) had come to control the situation and would make a truce between them and the Rakhine. Believing what police had said, killed them and the police did not stop them. Around 350 Rohingya women and children were hiding near the cemetery of Parin Village. The Rakhine mob and security forces killed almost all of them according to escaped victims who witnessed the attack. Many of the Rohingya who escaped the attacks are now in paddy fields, with nowhere to go.

3. A Rakhine mob set fire to Nagara Pauktaw village, Min Bya Township.100 Rohingya houses burnt down. More than 200 Rohingya were slaughtered by the mob according to eyewitnesses.

4. A Rakhine Mob set fire to Paikthae Village Kyauk Phyu Township. While Paikthay village was on fire, the fire fighters came to the spot with tank load of petrol in the guise of putting out the fire. More than 600 Muslim houses were burned down. We can’t confirm exact number of the deaths of Rohingya at the moment. Many Muslims fled into to the sea and others are in hiding.

5. 10:30am UK time two villages were set fire in Pauktaw Township. According to latest information many people are jumping to the river to escape. At the moment, it is very difficult to get any news out of these regions as the authority is confiscating all the cellular phones that Rohingya have to stop news reaching the outside world.

Tun Khin President of BROUK said “Ethnic cleansing is happening under the noses of the international community and they are doing nothing. These are not communal clashes; this is not equal sides fighting. This is state organized and state sanctioned ethnic cleansing where the vast majority of those killed and displaced are Rohingyas. The international Community has staked so much on Thein Sein‘s reform process that even when he proposed ethnic cleansing they stayed silent, and even when ethnic cleansing takes place they stay silent. There is no way this violence would continue if the government genuinely wanted to stop it”.

BROUK President Tun Khin also said “Whenever there is ethnic cleansing the international community says never let it happen again. Well it is happening again right now in Burma and once again the international community is failing to act. There needs to be UN observers on the ground immediately.”

Need for U.N. Peacekeeping Force more urgent than ever.

(YANGON, Myanmar) - While strongly condemning the renewed violence and carnage by the extremist Rakhine Buddhists against the Muslims or Rohingyas in Arakan, we jointly state as follows:

Since 21 October organized gangs of the Rakhine extremists headed by monks have burned down over 1000 houses, killed hundreds of Muslims and injured many more in the townships of Myinbya, Mrauk-U, Pauktaw and Kyaukpyu. These genocidal actions have been carried out with the backing of the police, army and security forces with intent to destroy the whole Muslim population of Arakan.

Systematic killings, rape of women and destruction have continued unabated while every single sign of Muslim or Islam is being erased from Arakan. On 23 October, at about 20:00 hours, while the Paikthay village was on blaze in Kyaukpyu Town, the fire fighters came to the spot with tank load of patrol in the guise of putting out the fire.

The state patronized Rakhine terrorists issued ultimatum to the Rohingyas or Muslims in Sittwe, Mrauk-U, Minbya, Myebon and Pauktaw and many other places to vacate their villages, houses and properties by October 25 or face violent attacks and forced expulsion.

The blocking of OIC to open its offices in Burma -- despite MoU signed between Burmese government and OIC -- is a clear indication of the Thein Sein government’s intention to carry on its ‘ethnic cleansing’ against the Muslim Rohingyas without outside knowledge. It is a great disappointment that the international community has staked so much on Burmese President Thein Sein’s reform process. When he proposed ethnic cleansing they stayed silent, and even when ethnic cleansing takes place they still stay silent, although the situation is crying for immediate.

John Sparks reports on "disturbing allegations" from Burma suggesting that a major new wave of violence, killings and house burnings in the country's northwest Rakhine State is taking place.

Senior members of the Muslim Rohingya community say that more than 100 Rohingya were killed on Tuesday and 440 houses burnt by ethnic Rakhine Buddhists in a village called Yaing Thay, in the northern part of the state. Local Rohingya have accused the police of participating in the violence and shooting members of their community.

The allegations continue - community leaders claim 350 homes, two mosques and a madrassa were burnt in the village of Thayet Oat on 22 October and they say 200 Rohingya houses were burnt in a place called Aung Dine later that same day.

These villages are situated in an area known as Minbya Township and if these reports are true, it suggests that a concerted campaign has begun to drive Rohingya out of this district. Remember though, that these people don't have anywhere to go - Rohingya are denied citizenship in Burma and no other country has expressed a willingness to take a group that numbers close to a million people.

Verifying these claims will prove extremely difficult. Security in northern parts of Rakhine State - which abuts the border with Bangladesh - is extremely tight. NGO officials including those from the UN are granted limited access on safety grounds while independent observers are effectively banned. Yet if these allegations are true, it would constitute the worst outbreak of violence since June when fighting left some than 75,000 Rohingya and 5,000 Buddhists homeless.

International concern

International actors are already worried about the failure of Burma's political leaders to support the Rohingya. The President, Thein Sein and the much celebrated opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi have said little about the crisis in the Northwest and this perceived ambivalence has consequences - arguably, it is contributing to a climate where ethnic Buddhists in Rakhine State feel their Muslim neighbours are legitimate targets.

You can understand the politicians' approach in terms of political expediency - most people in Burma argue the Rohingya are unwelcome and a series of demonstrations in major cities over the last few months has driven the point home.

President Sein has responded to - or capitalised on the popular mood recently by reneging on an agreement to let the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation open an office in the nation’s capital Yangon. The OIC, with 57 member nations, wants to help the Rohingya by distributing food aid and medical supplies. President Sein said opening an office would not be "in accordance with the people's desires".

The people's desires must be challenged however – if Burmese leaders do not make a stand, the inspirational story of Burma's transition from tyranny to democracy may be lost.

Wednesday, 24th October 2012, Mrauk-U, Arakan- According to the latest reports, Rakhine terrorists have already burnt down three Rohingya villages completely and other two Rohingya villages remained half-burnt. It is reported that more than 500 Rohingyas have been killed by Rakhine terrorists in cooperation with state government, police and military. In a village called Yaing Chay @Zula Fara in Mrauk-U Township, police let Rakhine terrorists kill the remaining Rohingyas in the village by using cunning methods.

“Police had called them (remaining Rohingyas) out of their hiding places saying that they (Police) came to control the situation and would make truce between them and Rakhines. Believing what Police had said, Rohingyas came out of their hiding places. As soon as they came out, Police confiscated whatever weapons (i.e. knives and sticks) Rohingyas had and let Rakhine terrorists kill them. According to an escaped victim, the whole village Zailla Fara was burnt down and all of the villagers were killed” said Maung Maung Oo from Sittwe.

Besides, it is said that state minister of Rakhine state, U Tha Lu Chay himself killed many Rohingyas with the help of the police. At the moment, it is very difficult to get any news out of these regions as the authority is confiscating all the cellular phones that Rohingyas have so that they (Rohingyas) can be killed silently.

Kyauk Phyu, Arakan- There are total two Rohingya quarters and one Rohingya village in Kyauk Phyu township. Out of them, the village and a quarter were totally burnt down. More than 200 Rohingya homes have already been razed to the ground. We can’t confirm exact number of the deaths of Rohingyas at the moment. But a local of Kyauk Phyu fears that 100 Rohingyas have been killed by now. More than 1500 Rohingyas are floating in the sea not knowing where to go and other many thousands are pushed to the sea beach. Now, Rakhine terrorists with the help of the government are planning to kill all these people. And total five mosques were burnt down.

In Mre-Bun Township as well, thousands of Rakhine terrorists are surrounding Rohingya villages in the region.

New clashes between Muslims and Buddhists have broken out in volatile western Burma, leaving at least two people dead and more than a thousand homes burned to the ground, authorities say.

The information ministry said the violence was continuing and authorities were trying to restore law and order.

The unrest, which began on Sunday night, is some of the worst reported between Rohingya Muslims and ethnic Rakhine Buddhists since skirmishes swept the region in June, displacing about 70,000 people.

Rakhine state Attorney General Hla Thein said the latest violence began in Minbyar township, about 25 kilometres north of the state capital, Sittwe. It later spread farther north to Mrauk-U township. Both areas are remote, reachable only by foot, Hla Thein said.

Authorities imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the townships on Monday, Hla Thein said. He said both areas were calm on Tuesday, but the Information ministry announced later in the day that the violence was continuing.

Hla Thein said one Buddhist man and two Muslim women died in Sunday's riots, but the ministry put the death toll at two - a man and a woman. It said 531 houses from six villages in Minbyar and 508 houses in two villages in Mrauk-U had been destroyed in arson attacks.

The unrest comes four months after members of the two religious groups turned on each other across Rakhine state in June after the alleged rape and murder of a Buddhist woman by three Muslim men in late May.

That violence left at least 90 people dead and destroyed more than 3000 homes and dozens of mosques and monasteries. The two groups are now almost completely segregated in towns such as Sittwe, where the Rakhine are able to roam freely while the Rohingya are mostly confined to a series of camps outside the city centre.

The last serious clashes in the state took place in August, when government officials said seven people were killed in the town of Kyauktaw. The United Nations said 600 homes were burned at the time.

The crisis in Burma's west goes back decades and is rooted in a dispute over where the region's Muslim inhabitants are from. Although many Rohingya have lived in Burma for generations, they are widely denigrated as foreigners - intruders who came from neighbouring Bangladesh to steal scarce land.

The UN estimates their number at 800,000. But the government does not count them as one of the country's 135 ethnic groups, and so - like Bangladesh - denies them citizenship. Human rights groups say racism also plays a role: Many Rohingya, who speak a distinct Bengali dialect and resemble Muslim Bangladeshis, have darker skin and are heavily discriminated against.

The conflict has proven to be a major challenge for the government of President Thein Sein, which has embarked on democratic reforms since a half century of military rule ended in 2011.

Urge the UN to intervene in the matter on ground of humanitarianism for the purpose of preventing further death, killing, rape and destruction of the Muslims; and to urgently send UN Peace Keeping Force to Arakan;

Urge upon USA and her western allies to review their policies on Thein Sein government in order to protect the lives of helpless Muslims in Arakan in the light of protecting and promoting human rights and democratic values;

Urge upon the international community to put pressure on the Burmese government (i) to allow unhindered humanitarian aid to the Rohingya victims in every nock and cranny of Arakan; (ii) to stop its segregation scheme and replace it with a proactive policy of ‘peaceful co-existence’; and (iii) to repeal or amend the Burma Citizenship Law of 1982 in order to conform it with international law standards.

After two days consecutive attack to Rohingyas in Min Bya and Mrauk U, the Magh terrorists take another extensive strategy as to make attacks more hardly to every Rohingya villages and quarters in entire Arakan. Many fully equipped Maghs are gathering in some Muslim residential areas in Maung Daw and start stoning toward the Muslim’s houses.

In other side, Rohingya villages from Kyawk Pru, Min Bya, Mrauk U, Kyawk Taw, Sittwe and so on are burning wholly days and nights including tonight.

Some of the Rohingyas were run to the nearest villages on fear of mass killing tonight. According to telephone message from Min Bya, 100 Rohingya from Mrauk U and Min Bya have been killed within two days and thousand household has been burnt into ashes. We are really under the biggest and the worst nightmare.

Security force are seen on the road but remain knows nothing. Indeed when the Magh start killing and burning, they swiftly take aside with their fellow Buddhists by shooting to Muslims, announce curfew by which only Muslims are blocked to go outside otherwise become to subject dead by shooting.

Our request to all fellow Rohingya is that to keep yourself alert to assist in fighting if it is started. We have nowhere to run and to hide but except to face the genocide. Tonight perhaps you may hear or read the message from us is lasted. But our willing is to keep this fight continue as long as there is a safety heaven for Muslim in Arakan.

Please pray for us.

Tuesday, 23rd October 2012-10-23 Mrauk-U, Arakan- Starting at 6:30 AM this morning, Rakhine extremists in Mrauk-U township have been surrounding a Rohingya village called Zula Fara@ Yaing Chay in the town. So far, Rakhine terrorists have already burnt around 450 Rohingyas homes and killed around 100 Rohingyas.

“Thousands of Rakhine terrorists have been surrounding a Rohingya village called Zula Fara@ Yaing Chay in Mrauk-U starting at 6:30 AM. They have already burnt 450 houses of Rohingyas and killed around 100 Rohingyas. Military in cooperation with Rakhine terrorists killed all these Rohingyas. Meanwhile, it is said that few Rakhine terrorists have got killed in the clash. Now, Military backed off from the scene as there are already more than ten thousands Rakhines gathered to kill Rohingyas. And Military is allowing Rakhine extremists to kill more Rohingyas instead of trying to make the situation peaceful” said Maung Maung Oo from Sittwe.

According to Rohingyas, President Thein Sein is behind the resurgence of all these mass killings of Rohingyas again. Knowing that there is no one to interfere in Arakan matters as OIC is ousted, USA is in their hand and Bangladesh is giving protection to Buddhist minority in the country, Thein Sein and his Rakhine extremist colleagues in the Arakan State government are killing and wiping out remaining Rohingyas in full swing. Moreover, “The Burmese program sections of VOA and BBC are fueling the fire that caught Rohingyas in Arakan by broadcasting biased news in favor of Rakhine terrorists or by intentionally omitting some actual news. Irrawady media, too, is misreporting the news.” said a Rohingya on the condition of anonymity.

And Min-Bya township of Arakan, more than 1200 Rohingyas’ homes were burned and numbers were killed.

Besides, there will be no Eidul Adha and sacrifice of animals in the forthcoming Muslim festival all over Myanmar this year according to the Muslims in the country.

Rohingyas are one of the most persecuted people on the planet Earth according to United Nation. Human Rights Watch (HRW) stated that Rohingyas are under high degree of extinction. Rohingya is an ethnic race residing in Arakan, Burma from the time of immemorial. Under different dictatorial regimes in Burma, they have been being historically discriminated and persecuted on account of their Indian ethnic origin, skin colors and religion. Since 8th June 2012, a state-sponsored ethnic cleansing of Rohingyas has been being carried out in cooperation with Rakhine extremists.

Since then, the atrocities against and mass killings of them have been being carried out in large scale. Rohingyas’ homes were burnt down and thousands of them were displaced on their own land. Many thousands of them were killed though Burmese officials grossly understated the number of their deaths. Their properties are looted on daily basis and their women and under-aged girls were or are either raped or gang-raped by Military and others. Their mosques and religious have been locked down. Their educated people and other innocent people have been detained for nothing. Their access to foods and medicines are blocked. As a result, they have been facing untimely demises caused by the Burmese animals in human form.

So often, there have been country-wide anti-Rohingya, anti-Kular and anti-OIC protests led by the skinned-head fascists in saffron and Burmese chauvinists so that they can commit more crimes against Rohingyas and conceal them. All these protests are indirectly incited and supported by the Burmese regime to justify their behaviors and implement their plans to root out Muslims from Burma. Burmese murderous regime and Rakhine extremists have lied, deceived and tried all the tricks to cover up their crimes against humanity. The world seems to have fallen into their traps. And Rohingyas are living in the hell on the earth and hardly anyone seems to put efforts into improving their dying situation. Burma has become ASEAN’s Bosnia for Rohingyas and their current situation is worse than Jews Situation in Nazi Extermination Camps during WW2 as one describes.

The situation in Arakan seemed to have calmed down in last few months because of the regime’s uncertainty of the support and side of USA (with them). As soon as the regime got green light and assurance from US that they (USA) are with them (regime), they have declared not to allow the establishment of OIC’s office in the country and have resurfaced the violence against Rohingyas a few days ago. Rakhine terrorists with the support of the authority have been torching the houses of Rohingyas in Min-Bya and Mrauk-U since last week. So far, around ten villages and more than a thousand houses of Rohingyas have been burnt down in Min-Bya and Mrauk-U. Thus far, two points have become clear. They are:

(1) During the earlier stage of the violence against Rohingyas, Rakhine extremist leaders openly encouraged their followers (Rakhines) to kill and root out all Rohingyas from Arakan. They said “we will plead guilty and take punishments on behalf of all Rakhines if the international criminal court of justice (ICJ) punishes us for what we are doing. No way ICJ can punish all Rakhine people as a whole.”

(2) President Thein Sein has asked UNHCR chief Antonio Gutterres to resettle all Rohingyas in third countries. But UNHCR chief has rejected his proposal.

Looking at the situation and the trend going in Arakan, not only Rakhines will kill Rohingyas and burn their homes as many as possible but also the government will be deporting Rohingyas to third countries. After all, USA is with them now!!!

The violence against Rohingyas in Arakan may be the result of global power struggles between USA and China and their proxy war. Or it may be the regime’s attempt to divert the attention of Burmese people from the crises it has been facing. Whichever the case may be, Rohingyas are scapegoated and being extinguished.

Therefore, the educated Rohingyas and their leaders must wake up and be realistic to be able to see the hypocritical patterns of the world today and to exist in Arakan as human beings. They must realize the saying “Might is Right” regardless of who or what is right or wrong. Above all, what is the thing that prevents Rohingya leaders and their educated people from coming together? If their target is just to save their suffering people, there is no room for divisions. They must put their ideological differences aside and work for the betterment of their people.

And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. (The Holy Quran 2:190)

And what is the reason do you have not to fight in the cause of Allah, to rescue the helpless oppressed old men, women and children who are crying “Our Rabb! Deliver us from this town whose people are oppressors; send us a protector by Your grace and send us a helper from Your presence?” (The Holy Quran 4:75)

Fighting is enjoined on you, and it is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know. (The Holy Quran 2:216)

Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. (The Holy Bible- Psalm 82:4)

And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” (The Holy Bible- Nehemiah 4:14)

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (The Holy Bible- Timothy 5:8)

“Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you're a man, you take it.” (Malcom X, an American Black Revolutionary Leader)

Now, I rest the case on you to decide what should be done to save Rohingyas from being exterminated.

We are deeply concerned over the reports that Bengali Rakhines had started attacks on Rohingya Muslims and Kaman Muslims yet again in Minbya Township and Myauk U Townships on October 21, 2012. At least four villages were burnt down and scores of people killed. Exact casualty report is not available at the moment. Burmese security forces did nothing to prevent these attacks. Nor they tried to protect these vulnerable and helpless Rohingya and Kaman Muslims. Government had claimed that Arakan State is coming into normalcy but in reality the situation is becoming more gravely day after day. These atrocities were being committed under the open eyes of the security forces. Confirmed reports indicate that Bengali Rakhines are trying to spread this violence across the whole Arakan State.

Arakan State government and President Thein Sein’s central government is doing nothing to prevent these atrocities on Rohingya Muslims. Racist Bengali Rakhines were given license to kill Muslims, burn their houses and loot their properties, rape under minor girls and women. Even security forces are committing such crimes every day. So Rohingya Muslims have no confidence in Burmese security forces since they are fully collaborating with the Bengali Rakhine vigilantes.

Almost one million Rohingya Muslims are living in dire situation throughout Arakan State. In Sittwe Township Aung Mingalar is the only Muslim quarter remaining in downtown. All other Muslim quarters were burnt down and all their residents were herded to temporary shelters. Bengali Rakhines are continuously trying to drive Aung Mingalar residents to the camps situated at the outskirt of Sittwe Township. Monks and Bengali Rakhines have openly demonstrated to drive them out and they are also demanding the segregation of Muslims and Buddhists in Arakan State setting a new precedent for apartheid. Bengali Rakhines and monks also tried to torch historical main mosque of Sittwe after the incident in neighboring Bangladesh as a retaliatory action. They have desecrated many sacred books belonged to the mosque. They also tried to burn Maung Daw main mosque. We request Bangladesh government to open a proper channel with Burmese government and try to solve Rohingya crisis.

Every now and then, Bengali Rakhines and radical monks hold meetings and issue warning to the Buddhist population that sell goods to Muslims or do business and deal with Muslims. Anyone who disobeys will meet severe punishment. Rohingyas are totally isolated in the whole Arakan State. Rakhine Bengalis and Monks also block flow of food and medical supplies to the Rohingya areas. They even block aid agencies from reaching Rohingyas. Finally even Burmese government bowed to the demand of some radical monks to bar OIC from opening liaison Offices in Sittwe and Yangon to supervise aid supplies to both effected communities. According to our information children and senior peoples are dying every day due to the lack of food and medical supplies. In such condition death by starvation is imminent for the entire Rohingya population.

We would like to earnestly request UN, EU, USA, UK, OIC and ASEAN countries to urgently call for an emergency meeting of United Nations Security Council and deploy international peace keeping force and observers in Arakan State to prevent the further loss of lives and property of Rohigya and Kaman Muslims.

We observed that international community had ignored all previous pleas made by Rohingya community around the world to deploy UN peace keeping force in Arakan State. If international community has no intention to deploy UN peace keeping force, it can at least implement what President Thein Sein had once told to the head of UNHCR; to place all Rohingya Muslims in camps under the supervision of UNHCR where they can have food and health care for survival and later resettle them to third countries. Whatever you do, please do it as soon as possible to save one million Rohingya Muslims from extinction.

At least eleven Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar have been killed after extremist Buddhists set fire to their houses in two Muslim villages in the city of Sittwe in the western Rakhine state, a report says.

The incident occurred when a number of Buddhits backed by army and border forces set fire to houses of Muslims in the villages of Mamra and Mraut late Sunday, Radio Banga reported on Monday.

Myanmar army forces allegedly provided the Buddhists with big containers of petrol to set ablaze the houses of Muslim villagers and force them to flee their houses.
The silence of the human rights organizations towards abuses against the Rohingya Muslims has emboldened the extremist Buddhists and Myanmar’s government forces.

The Buddhist-majority government of Myanmar refuses to recognize Rohingyas and has classified them as illegal migrants, even though the Rohingyas are said to be Muslim descendants of Persian, Turkish, Bengali, and Pathan origin, who migrated to Myanmar as early as the 8th century.

According to reports, thousands of Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims are living in dire conditions in refugee camps after government forces and Buddhist extremists started burning down their villages on August 10.

Reports say some 650 Rohingyas have been killed in the Rakhine state in the west of the country in recent months. This is while 1,200 others are missing and 80,000 more have been displaced.

Since yesterday, the violence against Rohingyas resurfaced. Many Rohingyas have been killed and their villages in Minbya and Mro-Haung Townships have been being burnt down. Now, Arakan has become a new Bosnia for Rohingyas. Hardly anyone seems to care about them.

Naypyitaw - Myanmar President Thein Sein on Sunday urged his people to change their attitude towards Rohingya-Muslims, signalling a major change in government policy on the minority that has been suffering from discrimination for decades.

The president had previously said he wanted the United Nations’s refugees agency to resettle the Rohingyas abroad or set up permanent refugees camps for them, drawing international criticism.

Some 800,000 Rohingya-Muslims live in Rakhine State in the northwest near Bangladesh. They were made stateless by the 1982 Citizens Law and remain vulnerable to persecution and rights abuses.

"We need to change of our mindset towards them," he said. "We cannot love only our own people." The president said the government should promote more education and job opportunities in the Rakhine State along the border with Bangladesh.//DPA

Thirteen of the evacuees were slightly injured in the incident, the report added. The foreign nationals were among the more than two million Muslim devotees expected to pack into the city for this year’s annual Hajj pilgrimage, which officially begins on Wednesday. The gathering, which concludes on Friday, is the largest annual event in the world.
