Rohingyas have been the victims of a conspired Genocide in the hands of brutal Burmese Regime and Rakhine terrorists. Burmese regimes have been creating a conspiracy after a conspiracy to blindfold the international community. Today, Rohingyas, who are on the verge of extermination, have been living in fear of being massacred. To exaggerate their fear of becoming victims of targeted violence again, a highly suspicious film shooting took place in the village of Shikda Fara (Myoma Kayintan), Maung Daw, from 1:30PM to 2:30PM on 5th June 2013. Here is its true account as it has been told by an eyewitness.

“Around 1:30PM, about 12 Military Personnel from the camp based at Basic Education High School (BEHS) 1 located in the village of Myoma Kayintan took some intimidating pictures to create a fake situation suspected to carry out further more violence against Rohingyas.

The military personnel with their cameras went to the road between Basic Education High School 1 and Basic Education Primary School (it is also the road to the central mosque) in the village. They were accompanied by two Policemen (Tin Aye and a Bama Police) and five Rakhine youths. Subsequently, they blocked the road and so did the villagers’ access. Some descriptions such as “STARTING FOR THE SECOND TIME, ANYONE WHO CROSSES IT WILL BE SHOT DOWN” were written on the Road Barricades.

The Rakhine youths had to do rehearsals for the shots several times as they kept laughing. While the military were holding up their guns and one of them was with a micro-speaker as if issuing warning, Rakhine youths were made to act as if they were trying to attack the Military by stones and sticks. Then, taking pictures and making videos of the scenes including Rohingya passers-by in different dimensions followed.

Another shot of the video was made as a military captain asked one of the military to take off his uniform and to pretend as if he was a civilian caught by a police officer. He did as he was asked to and one of the motor policemen acted of forcing him to lie down, twisting one of his arms and putting his (Police Officer’s) gun on the attacker’s (the military person’s) back.

One thing here, what one of us spotted was, when the actor (the military) happened to show his face during the shoot, the cameramen asked him not to show his face. We suspect he was asked so because they were pretending as though Rohingyas attacking the military. This might be preliminary steps to making up fake videos before they prompt another massive violence against Rohingyas.

On the same day, three trucks of Monks and Rakhine youths from rural areas were taken into a monastery called Aung Mye Bawdi at the northern part of the same village tract. Later, the military went there and asked them to put their hands up while they were getting off the trucks only to make videos of the scenes.

We have never seen film shooting in our areas. This time we could see but it might not be for our pleasure and it can blast us if it goes as to our suspicions. We also suspect the authority did all these drama to extend the Curfew (Martial Law) period continuously against Rohngyas. Since the curfew order imposed on Rohingyas, they have neither been able to move nor been able to work.”

There are more than ‘190’ countries with their own integrity and sovereignty, and it is most probably guessed that there will be emerging more small countries as the independent states with their own sovereign nations in coming days.

Of them, many are nowadays become the United Nations member countries as a ‘one family of the universe’ to meet and help together the serious necessities of the human being and cooperate in need of dire assistance for welfare of the people of the member nations residing in this cosmos. In the fields such as – fighting poverty, promotion of health & education, hygienic environment, propping up in finance & tumbling unemployment, feeding starvation and providing food and foodstuff, portion of numerous natural disasters & preventing breaking out of recurring contagious diseases, HIV, AIDS, tuberculosis and so on..

Since the birth of the United Nations after the Second World War, to help solve unanimously the multi necessities of the human being and outstanding problems of the world among nations, every single nation which is integrated from each corner of the world as a responsible member nation of the Organization (UN)—had have signed the United Charter to abide the signed rules & principles and cooperate, in which Burma (Myanmar) is a signatory member of the world body, the United Nations, and Myanmar has been an obligatory state to stand for and carry out the requirement of the nation and that of the general public.

As far as I have knowledge, Myanmar has agreed to abide many clauses in that Charter— to highlight very few particularly such as -- protection and safe guarding of minority people’ lives, properties, religions and that of the buildings-- and the fulfilling of the basic rights of the minorities such as freedom of expression, employment, education, free movement, marriages, association of assembly and so on.

In reality, Myanmar had been the most turmoil country on this earth since it got the independence in 1948 from British—based on mostly not sharing the equal rights to minority, so called indigenous people, in accord with the “Pan long agreement”, which was collectively signed and pledged by Bogyoke Aung San, to enjoy all due rights, together with all concerned parties, before having independence from the Great Britain.

Bamar people, having with the most hegemonies tendency against minorities, who are majority of the nation—started struggling for power to grip after 1958 between Bamar itself— which creating some moderate Bamar people as Communists, leading by Thakin Than Tun, who made station central Burma, from one hand – and from the other hand, minority people such as Kachin, Kayah, Shan, Mon, Rakhine, Chin and Rohingya (Rovinga) -- all become open armed human rights activists against the central government, Ne Win’s regime.

Though the then mulish respective governments from Ne Win then Saw Maung to Than Shwe-- who all had successfully ruled with iron hands the state until 2010, used the term ‘insurgents’ on minorities people all along more than fifty years —in contrast they (indigenous people) simply believe and decided to struggle with arms against the central government with the aims of sort of that kind that they should stand with arms for the due rights in regard their own existence with the help of local people and international community.

Seeing and realizing the regional and international community that the oppressive and chaotic dominated ruling of the past Burmese governments on minorities--Burma has been principally isolated from the regional, neighboring and international community—and that ‘dodge’ Burma itself chose happily to strip off the minorities people’ due rights in huge ignorance in their regions one after another—as more the then respective governments have been fascinating the opportunity of the ‘international isolationism’ against Myanmar to crush the minorities including the most persecuted Rohingya people disrespecting the United Nations charter and ASEAN charter in which Myanmar has been signatory since 1948 and the year 2007.

The respective Myanmar governments never respects the principles of UN and ASEAN charter instead they have been with a ‘pride maneuver’ to exercise the relevant affairs with their own under the term of “Sovereignty and internal affairs”. Though every regional and international Charter has carefully decipher the words that – one should not interfere the internal affairs of the others—there have been coordinating works to settle the outstanding problems by the mediations of regional and international dignitaries by one way or another due to the international issues.

President Thein Sein, who has been known as a reformist in abroad after releasing Daw Aung San Su Kyi, has formed first investigating commission in regards Rakhine state affairs in May of 2012—since that time to as toady he has shifted for five times the report of investigation committee’s facts finding to bringing to his table.

International community has interestingly concentrated their mind to the result of said committee in which some members are themselves involved in the pogrom in accord to their interviews on RFA, VOA, DVB radios and some videos of broadcasting services plus internal journals which were issued as incitement in the past.

The word “sovereignty and internal affairs” has been greatly used by every concerned minister and political leaders in this affair whenever the last 2012 Rohingya massacre issue was raised and questioned by international media, diplomats and world communities.

The more procrastinating the report of Rakhine state issue reaching to president office, the more complex and not viable solution will fade away the good result of the reality from the ground—all internal and international concerned parties strongly believed -- the way the investigating committee (25) members have been manipulating are none other than trying to favor the Rakhine extremists leaders or trying to hide the reality and the secret plan of the government which itself wants to drive out Rohingya from the land — and surely it will apply and accomplish the word “sovereignty, internal affairs and non interference in internal affairs of others” terminology at the time the international community will intervene the “coming concocted result” of the violence which was intentionally created by RNDP, ALD and President Thein Sein with a coordinated plan--not exaggeration but with the proof which was seen and found previously.

Whenever international community tries to help solve the problem or to find out collective solution which is good for Rohingya and the state, the concerned persons or Myanmar dialogue partners strictly used the word that “it has been internal affairs”. More clearly, it is proud to imply that Myanmar is an independent state with sovereignty and integrity.

Every responsible member of UN and the integrated member of the organization, each nation has signed at the time of the entry to the organization that it has agreed on its volition to respect the sovereignty of one another as reciprocal and in case of necessary to involve, to help solve together the outstanding problem like Rohingya of today or such kinds in the past or coming days.

Sovereignty doesn’t mean crushing its own citizens’ lives, property, tranquility, dignity and basic human rights as per their dirty scheme which secretly adopted by among some high level thugs-- who might have been guiding the criminal principles to the President Thein Sein and its administrative mechanism to make chaos in ruling the country.

“Sovereignty along with rule of law” is understood to maintain peace and tranquility among communities regardless of --who is who, race, religion, color--and to develop the society and that of the integrity and livelihood in the country --but in contrast the sovereignty of the state of President Then Sein’ becomes a questionable now after having a long consideration of his administrative method which has badly harassed the minority innocent Muslims, particularly the Rohingya and the Muslims from Mittilar and that of the people from western Pegu Division along at least (15) localities.

Doesn’t the state sovereignty concern to maintain rule of law?

Doesn’t sovereignty and rule of law find out the culprits who have committed crime against humanity?

Doesn’t Sovereignty mean to adopt rule of law which discharge the laws and save innocent people who have been serving the long jail terms (ten years imprisonment) without committing any crime along the nations’ jails particularly Rohingya youths in Buthidaung Jail?

Do you (President) know how many innocent people from Buthidaung, Maung Daw, Rathedaung, Akyab and Kyauktaw have been put in Buthidaung and Sittwe jails by the concerned township level authorities with the help of respective townships court judges, lawyer and local Rakhine false witness under the term of “Sovereignty and internal affairs”?

We, Rohingya are got fed up now and highly frustrated by your ‘sovereignty mechanism theology’—people become impatient—parents are weeping- daughter, sons and wives are expression of grief and praying to be releasing their beloved ones from every jail who are being arrested and served disgustingly without any reason-- is it sovereignty? —no, it is not serving and loving sovereignty, but it is hegemony activities.

To be honest, You (U Thein Sein) is beloved President if compare any one beside you—but you have been cheated, bullied and fanned by your step by step authorities concern-- from township level to Union level --not to be known the real situation at the ground— Believe it or not!

At this new year of auspiciousness and golden opportunity, if the kind request of regional, international and sisterly organization (OIC) from around the world come to your attendance to help solve the unsettled all round problems by their help-- please accept the realistic ideas of them to have solved your domestic problems rather than reasoning excuse the word “sovereignty and internal affairs” while such repeating expression neither will attract the international community’s interest who wanted to invest for our country’s welfare nor helpful to your transitional democratic acceleration which you have been laying out touring around international community to draw time and again.

The news of the clash between illegal Burmese fisherman and Rohingya Refugees in an Indonesian detention centre last week is drawing the concerns of many people from all the concerned quarters. The clash left 8 Burmese dead and 21 injured, whereas three Burmese escaped alive. They used sticks, stones, knives and whatever they found in their front to attack one another.

According to the report of Associated Press (AP) on 5th April 2013, the brawl started between a Rohingya Muslim cleric and Burmese fishermen over a heated debate on the violence against Muslims in Meikhtila as they saw the photos of destruction caused by the violence. And in accordance with a report of The Jakarta Post quoting the police investigations, Rohingya refugees were angered when a Female Refugee was sexually harassed by the fishermen.

Regarding the deadly incident, Myanmar Deputy Foreign Minister, U Than Kyaw, called on Indonesian Ambassador to Myanmar, Mr. Sebastianus Sumarsono, to investigate the matter and reveal the truth, to punish those who committed crimes and to give protection to Myanmar citizens in Indonesia in his Aide Memoire to the ambassador during the meeting on 6th April 2013. Indonesian authorities are, too, reported to be on their way to investigate the matter and taking proper actions. However, still, there are abusive languages used, comments posted and hatred shown against the innocent Muslims in Myanmar on social networking sites. Doing so will not solve the problems but will exaggerate them.

Rohingyas, Kamans and other Muslims in central Myanmar have been subjected to mass murders, rapes, arbitrary arrests and tortures. Their properties are being looted and their religious properties vandalized. But hardly have we seen the sympathy from these so-called followers of Buddha or Buddhism even when 13 innocent Muslim children were burnt alive in cold blood. When the people of their own kind or from their own race were harmed, they are hurt and raging on social networking sites and abusing Muslims in general. We, hereby, are not, at all, trying to justify the killings and wrongdoings happened in the Indonesian prison but to make those racists realize that Minority Muslims in Burma, too, are the equal human beings with the same humane feelings and holds, within themselves, the same dignity as the other Burmese do.

Hereby, we have to realize that the brawl or the fight took place within the premise of a detention centre. We have to wonder how the people got the photos of the Meikhtila Violence to see and the knives to attack one another. There are responsible authorities in the detention centre. So, we have to expect an unbiased investigation and wait with patience for its final reports. Similarly, we call upon all the Indonesian authority to punish anyone who is proven guilty according to the Indonesian Laws irrespective to who he/she is.

March 21, 2013

You have recently been alerted about the systematic approaches and plans of Rakhine Extremists and their leaders to massacre Rohingyas twice more in 4th week of March and 2nd week of April respectively. Government has been being providing trainings to Rakhines on how to use guns and swords. Rakhine extremists have been being distributing anti-Muslim leaflets among Rakhine community all over Arakan. Yet, until yesterday, we hadn’t had any clue on how Burmese (including Rakhine) extremists would initiate or trigger anti-Muslim violence.

Yesterday morning, a Burmese couple, in order to sell their FAKE Gold, came to a Muslim’s jewelry shop in Meikhtila Township, Mandalay Division. When the Muslim shop owner refused to buy the fake gold, a brawl took place and reportedly the fake gold seller (the husband) got injured. They went back to their village and came up with his co-villagers to attack Muslims in the township. According to some people, the fake gold seller was a spy of Burmese military who had been trying to incite the violence for weeks.

In the attack, yesterday, eight Mosques were burnt down, 3 Muslims were killed and 15 Muslims got injured. A few Muslim houses were also razed. The names of the Mosques burnt down were:

(1) Mingala-Zayune Masjid and Madrasa (Religious School)
(2) Myo Oo Masjid
(3) Pakistan Masjid
(4) Hman-Lun Masjid
(5) Jameh Masjid at the west from the Market
(6) Peace Masjid
(7) North Pye-Thaya Masjid
(8) Thiri Mingala Masjid

The Imam (teacher) of the Myo Oo Masjid was among the killed Muslims. Meanwhile, a Monk, as he was trying to set fire, died getting blocked in a burning Masjid. (Fig. Ref: Kay Te Zat O)

According to the latest reports, at 11AM today, 28 Hafiz (students of Learning Quran by-heart) including Hafiz Student Mohammed Ihtishaam S/o Hazrat Maulana Hafiz Nurul Haque and 4 more Imams (the teacher of the Mosques and Madrasa) were also killed by the barbaric Burmese extremists. Blazing of Muslims’ houses is still going on and Muslims are running for their lives. The names of the martyred imams are:

(1) Maulana Mohammed Shafie (Around 45)
(2) Maulana Zakaria (Around 40)
(3) Mufti Wajib (Around 30)
(4) Unidentified yet.

Amidst the declaration of Martial Law under section 144, the Burmese hooligans are set free to torch Muslims’ houses. Rather, Security Forces were seen talking in friendly terms with the hooligans. Therefore, there is no doubt that Security Forces itself involve in it and it is, in most cases, similar to the anti-Rohingya violence in Arakan. And it might be called the beginning of the new era of anti-Muslim violence all over Myanmar backed by the central government. As usual, Burmese domestic media especially Eleven Media Group dominated by Rakhine racists took up the role of spreading wrong propaganda and fooling the innocent Burmese people in order to persuade them to involve in the violence.

At a time when people are showing their sympathy to the victimized farmers in La-Pan-Taung, Sagaing Division and their attentions are given towards the victims, triggering an anti-Muslim violence is the perfect way to divert the attention of the people and continue the Copper Project. Besides, it is a chance for the pseudo-civilian government led by Thein Sein to gain public supports and for NLD to take them back to the earlier position. And for the military, they can coup power and crawl back to the dictatorship. Last but not the least, it is the opportunity that the leaders of Rakhine Nationalities Development Party (RNDP) have been seeking to massacre and cleanse Rohingyas with the support of and in solidarity with all Burmese.

In reality, if it is said neutrally and fairly about the deceptively denial of Rohingya existence into Arakan of intruders, Burmans the current ruling party of which head is a military backed high profile officer named president Thein Sein; Rohingya are the oldest indigenous commune of northern Arakan state currently Rakhine, western Myanmar who are massively living since immemorial decades, and Arakan was an independent sovereign Kingdom up to 1784 AD in that year it was invaded by Burmese King Bodawphaya. Let’s stand on the side of the intruders, Burmans and their religious Buddhist brotherhood commune Rakhines so that we could find any documentary evidence to drive out Rohingya; does the meaning of the river “Kaladan’’ relate exactly with Burmese or Persian or Arabic: its precise meaning is “intellectuals” which related accurately to Muslim so it is evident that there was Muslims, and today it is absolutely “instigating Islamophobia” to warmly welcome from international bodies to the Brutal president of Myanmar, killer Thein Sein who assures international bodies with positive attitude but alternatively he fulfils all his assurances with negative attitude since early June 2012.

Let’s judge here actually either he is a democratic reformists or a ruler without principle and a killer

  1. Burma’s President Thein Sein has proposed opening schools to improve the education of minority Rohingya Muslim children. After some months later, all the Islamic religious houses are officially locked up and the children are miserably sitting in houses hoping further one day their destiny-door will be knocked for education.
  2. OIC and Myanmar sign agreement to establish humanitarian aid office.
  3. Accurately after six days later of mutually agreement, Thein Sein alternatively had handed-over the case to the depraved monks leader, Wirathu, one who perpetually set up Islamophobia mindset to every Buddhists to demonstrate throughout the state against OIC and the main intention of that is to dramatically show from government to international bodies that ‘suspension opening OIC office in Myanmar is the wishes of public.
  4. Since then as there are more increasingly condemnations coming from independent institutions such as HRW, AI, UN, OIC, ASEAN, etc then at once he, President Thein Sein handed over the hidden genocide so-called sectarian violence issue to the Rakhine state administration and RNDP. The head of RNDP Vet. Aye Maung is also currently MP from Rakhine State and is one of the master criminals of Rohingya genocide. He, President Thein Sein made collusion secretly with the RNDP to cover up the crimes against Rohingya. Thus it is so deplorable today that once international delegation asked about the basic rights of Rohingya then he, President Thein Sein concluded with one sentence that we had formed a special investigation team for Rakhine-Rohingya conflict and it is our internal affairs which we are thinking to solve under gradual peace process.
  5. Even it is threatened from local Rakhine commune to stop aid to Rohingya. Here is a fresh witness from MSF team - “That we are prevented from acting and threatened for wanting to deliver medical aid to those in need is shocking and leaves tens of thousands without the medical care they urgently need," MSF operations manager Joe Belliveau said.
Accordingly, Since June 2012 the conflict zone, Arakan  State was banned from access of international tourists, aid groups, media and journalists because to conceal the actual and precise destructions and death tolls, and to kill more remained Rohingya making lack of adequate food which may lead to massively die of starvation. Here is not ended his inhumanely atrocities. Furthermore to implement his deportation program he prescribed discriminatory rules such as: banned proper medical treatment by Rakhine and Burmans of official doctors, nurses, restriction of movement outside camp, declared in government schools to beat and insult Rohingya children whenever they are met oppositely with Buddhists families, arbitrary arresting to demand a huge amount of money , to rape minor and elder female, suddenly penetration violently to Rohingya houses without prior notice in the name of operation for family members’ present or absent then at once during interrogation about family members there has been happening sexually assault and looting properties, slaughtering new born, dragging the beautiful virgins to the camps of concerned authorities particularly BORDER GUARD (Nasaka), etc.

Forcefully, Thein Sein and his culprits military MPs are corporately perpetrating numerous crimes against Rohingya as mentioned above and it is out of focus of international bodies about the inner strategically enmity of local Rakhine extremists: tens of dozens of Bengali Rakhine are sheltered officially in Maungdaw Township, near bay of Bengal by direct welcome from killer Thein Sein so called democratic reformist president; where tens of thousands of Rohingya are displaced by killer regime of Thein Sein. It is democratic reforms or instigating Islamophobia??

While numerous atrocities are forcefully and rapidly with climax momentum taking place in Rakhine State, Thein Sein is warmly hosted in Norway during his this historic tour in European region in last portion of February 2013. Though we are vulnerable and unarmed destitute people on the earth we were gladly hoped that Norway which is among one of ‘major donors toward peace establishment in Myanmar’ would diplomatically urge to stop inhumanely cruelties on Rohingya but unexpectedly we are kicked out into destitution more hastily due to the speaking out of Journalists against the silence of Norway and its response over interrogation of journalists such as - The Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide insisted that a nation is “not obligated to give citizenship to everybody who is living there."

And I would like to appeal to AI, HRW, OIC, ASEAN, and other remained institutions around the world to urge UN to impose more sanctions and pressures to Myanmar regime to ensure officially the fundamental rights of ethnic minorities particularly Rohingya in western Myanmar, and best regards from bottom of my heart to you for your such creditable comments for destitute Rohingya Oddny Gumaer.

The comments is hereby copied from DVB: Oddny Gumaer from Partners Relief and Development told that she was “shocked” by Eide’s comments, which seem to back the quasi-civilian regime’s claim that Rohingyas are not legitimate citizens, even though many have lived in the country for generations. The right to citizenship is also enshrined in international law. “I cannot believe that a man with his influence would say what he did,” said Gumaer. “I am considering writing him a letter asking him if he really believes the government’s line about the Rohingya being illegal immigrants. It is wrong and ugly.”

It is indeed miserable today that most of stable countries of enriching Nuclear weapons are busy making their strong business ties with Myanmar rather than the focusing on violation public rights particularly ethnic minority rights. Rohingya are almost to be extinct from the land, Arakan western Myanmar - reported by BBC Journalist Ms Anna Jones in 2010. According to report of UN, Rohingya is one of the most persecuted victims on this planet but we would like to be asked ourselves dreadfully and silently about our life safety: who will save us from hell-fire of killer Thein Sein who recently has been included for 2013 Noble peace prize winners chart.

Apparently, he killer Thein Sein violently disobeyed “the Universal Declaration of Human Rights”. In fact, it is mockery to uplift him awarding Noble peace prize to such a depraved, immoral, ruler without principles, the mentor of Rohingya genocide gangsters, killer Thein Sein. During his ruling term for nearly two years, tens of thousands of Rohingya have been killed and missed, more than hundred thousands are displaced and numerous are in destitution. The main knot of oppression to the Rohingya is only because of their faith –Islam.

Since after the immediate return of Thein Sein so called democratic reformist president into Myanmar from Europe regional tour, the Rakhine extremists with armed forces are convincing people so hastily to initiate a third Rohingya massacre before the arrival of Buddhist New Year festival, Thingyan between March and April. An eye-witness said that mostly adults male and female from Rakhine communes are trained well how to shoot guns and self-defense for resistance against opposition attacks during violence. The internal Rohingya dread terribly and screams that right now he, killer Thein Sein will kill us like small insects ants. I therefore the author of this article, on behalf of entire Rohingya community plead to world government bodies to make concentrated efforts to save from this third massacre and to globally focus on this issue: Rohingya plight crisis for a quick permanent resolution by which Rohingya people can lead their life easily as others in this 21st century otherwise who will save them from the hand of slaughter Thein Sein?.

March 10, 2013

On 9th March 2013, a conference was held at Mahidol University, Bangkok, led by Dr. Aye Chan with the help of Rakhines living in Thailand in an attempt to rewrite the history of Arakan. Neither any eminent Rohingya leaders nor any member of Rohingya community was invited to the so-called International Conference on the History of Arakan. The reason behind not inviting any Rohingya member to the conference might be to easily distort history to suit their agenda and reject Rohingyas outright. However, having realized this, a few eminent Rohingyas including Mr. Htay Lwin Oo attended the conference that hindered Dr. Aye Chan from further falsifying the history.

First speaker in the conference was J. Leider, a French Historian, and he avoided stating that would cause conflicts. And the second was Stephen van Galen, a Dutch Scholar and he, too, avoided mentioning anything that would result in conflicts. And the last one to give speech in the conference was Dr. Aye Chan. In his talks about “From Rakhine cross-border settlement to ethnic violence,” he followed their traditional make-belief fictional story that there is no Rohingya in the history of Arakan and the term “Rohingya” was the creation of Mr. Gaffar in 1951.

As he bluffed on so and so increase of cross-border settlements of Chittagong people in Arakan from 1826 to 1975 to become the majority in Maungdaw and Buthedaung townships, he forgot to mention the cross-border settlement of his own father, Kala Chand, a Bangladeshi Barua, in 1950s. It was not really surprising to see such a bigot falsifying the history as such and inversing the scenario of how Rohingyas became majority in Maung Daw and Buthidaung Townships (Mayu Region). Before 1942 Massacre of Rohingyas, Rohingyas were more or less equally scattered in Arakan than Rakhines were. As the aftermaths of the massacre, most of the Rohingyas from interior Arakan were pushed towards the Mayu region. Never were they able to return home and so settled in the region. This is the truth what Dr. Aye Chan was trying to distort in the conference.

In the question and answer session, Mr. Htay Lwin Oo asked “Sir, you are a historian. Didn’t you know that the term “Rohingya” existed in Arakan before 1800 CE? If you don’t know, please read this (page)… of this (book)….” Mr. Htay Lwin Oo handed over a photocopy of the book. Upon that, Dr. Aye Chan answered “Rohingya was a name used to call us, Rakhines.” When Mr. Htay Lwin Oo rebutted that the term “Rohingya” was not a term used to call Rakhines because the terms for “Sun, Moon and Earth” mentioned in the section of Rohingya language are not same to that in the section of Rakhine languages, Dr. Aye Chan was at his wit’s end and rather hurried to end the session saying “it is enough.” Please read French Researcher and Medical Doctor Francis Buchanan’s “A Comparative Vocabulary of Some of the Languages Spoken in Burma Empire, Page 55” written in 1799 CE (http://bit.ly/TFJ4JJ). You will find the words used by Rohingyas today, not by Rakhines, under the “Rooinga” language section. And you will find totally different words under the language section of “Yakain.” Besides, in that, it is mentioned that Mohammedans used to call themselves “Rooinga” or “Rovingaw.” Now you tell us “was the term ‘Rohingya’ used to call Rakhines?

Therefore, it is pretty obvious for even someone with a zero-knowledge on history to identify that Dr. Aye Chan was living in Rakhine’s father-to-son myths and beating around the bush. On one hand, they say there is no term such as “Rohingya” in the history of Arakan and on the other hand, it was a name used to call Rakhines. After all, how many names did Rakhines have? Rakkha, Rakkhita, Arakan, Rakuain and Rakhine, Roshang, Rohang and now Rohingya? The Sino-Tibetan tribe of Mongoloid stock hijacked the land of the forefathers of Rohingyas in 957 CE and now, they are trying to hijack even their name. Cruel and shameless invaders indeed!!

Disgracefully, Burmese domestic media such as Eleven Media Group, Rakhine Media Groups and their Social Networking Sites are rather spreading made-up information about the conference and wrong propaganda. They are spreading adverse information: Mr. Htay Lwin Oo ran away being unable to face off with Dr. Aye Chan, which was other-way-round in the reality. The truths will prevail soon as the videos of the conference are coming up. And disgustingly, Eleven Media reported ‘International Scholars Say No Rohingya in Myanmar’ (something they have never said) taking advantage of their silence but only to fool the naïve Burmese people. Maybe these international scholars were supposed and brought to the conference to be silent upon any statements by the bigotry Rakhine scholars.

Recently, a reporter of Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) called Ant Phone Myint has violated all the ethics and codes of conducts of a journalist by making a discriminatory and inflammatory video interview. He is using DVB to spread his own anti-Rohingya propaganda and racism. He blatantly accuses that there is no Rohingya in Burma.

00:36-00:39 When We Investigate Into The Biographies Of These People,

00:40-00:42 Only One Person Is With “Naing” Citizenship.

00:42-00:49 It Can Be “11 Or 12” Followed By “Stroke, Symbol Of The Residing Township, Naing And Six Numbers” Respectively.

00:49-00:51 However, Neither His Elder Brother Nor His Younger One Has That Citizenship.

00:52-00:55 Despite His Parents Not Having That Citizenship,

00:55-00:59 Why Is He Having A “Naing” Citizenship?

00:59-01:02 What Kind Of Bribe Has He Given To Get The Citizenship?

01:03-01:07 Or Is His Family Tree Actually Having at Immigration Department?

01:07-01:11 It Is The Responsibility Of The Government And Immigration Department To Investigate Into All These.

01:12-01:25 (Reporter) Therefore, It Is Necessary To Form An Investigation Team To Investigate Into The Details Of These MPs At A High Political Stage Now And Their Rights To Citizenship And Participate In The Election.

01:26-01:31 Besides, Depending On The Findings From The Investigation And According To The Acts Of In-Effect 1982 Citizenship Law,

01:32-01:38 There Are Demands To Effectively Punish Them And Also To Extend Its Term Of Imprisonments And Increase Its Cash Penalties.

01:38-01:40 (Dr. Aye Maung) It Will Be OK It Can Be Done.

01:40-01:48 In The 1982 Citizenship Law, There Are Punishments To Those Who Take Bribe To Issue Citizenship And Give Bribe To Get Citizenship.

01:49-01:52 Yet, It Is Necessary To Increase The Punishments For Effectiveness.

01:53-02:02 If The Bribe Givers Are Fined With Around A Million Kyat Each, They Will Not Be Doing This.

02:03-02:16 If The Bribe Takers Are Fined With Around 20 Million Kyat And Given Around 11-Year Imprisonments, We Can Stop The Illegal Issuing Of The Citizenship.

02:17-02:29 (Reporter) At The Moment, Some MPs, From The Ruling Party USDP Elected In 2010 Election Representing A Non-Existing Race In Myanmar, Are Widely Talking To The Media In Home And Abroad.

02:30-02:33 Though The Voters Have Submitted A Proposal To The Parliament To Review The Matter According To The Law,

02:33-02:36 The Committee Of The Parliament Are Unable To Give Any Decision.

02:36-02:40 Besides, There Are Wide Criticisms Against The Union Government For Not Giving Any Decision Either On That.

02:41-02:42 And I Am Ant Phone Myint.

(It is certain that many people will be up against what is going to be written here. However, truths are truths and can no way be hidden. And it is necessary to share them to the honest truth seekers.)

The violence in Arakan is neither because of Rohingyas (whom Majority Burmese perceive as illegal Bengalis) nor SECTARIAN. It is a systematic pogrom targeted Rohingyas and Kamans (Kamans are also being killed on account of their religion). They, the sons of soils of Arakan, have been scapegoated for different political gains by the respective interest groups. Of all, the two notable interest groups who are striving towards different political goals are none other than Burmese regime and Rakhine Extremists. As for Burmese regime, their basic goal was fulfilled as they could have diverted the attention of the people from the political crises they had been facing before this violence.

They want to end the violence now but Rakhine extremist political leaders do not let the situation be peaceful by blackmailing the regime to expose their own participation in the pogrom of Rohingyas. It is because they are still striving towards fulfilling their dream of MAHA RAKKHITA NAING NGAN DAW GRI (A Separate and Independent Rakhine Nation) consisting Arakan region from Burma and Chittagong Hill-Tract from Bangladesh. A Burmese friend of mine laughed it out saying “Phyit Naing Ba’ Malla Bya- Can it be possible?” This might sound funny to many people today but tomorrow it can be a reality. But an unreality today can become a reality tomorrow.

Rakhines in Burma and Bangladesh and their Joint Movements: There are more than 1 Million Buddhists of different ethnic origin in Bangladesh, whom Burmese Rakhines consider parts of Rakhine groups. They are Marma (known as Rakhine in Burma), Barua (Mramma Gri or Myammar Gyi) and Chakma (Theks) etc (in short, Jammu Hill tract Tribes) in Bangladesh. Of them, BARUAs and Theks are linguistically similar to Rohingyas over to Rakhines (Marmas). Besides, Baruas are more similar to Rohingyas in looks and physical appearances. However, Burmese Rakhines have persuaded and recruited more people from other Buddhist minorities of Bangladesh on the ground of the religion and have sown a separatist tendency in their minds.

Therefore, with the exception of few, the Rakhine political parties or armed groups, media groups, woman organizations, youth groups, academics and individuals that work not only against the interest of Burma and Bangladesh but also against Rohingyas and Kamans in cooperation with the terrorist outfit of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) in Bangladesh are: Arakan League for Democracy (ALD), Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), Democratic Party of Arakan (DPA), Rakhine Women Union (RWU), All Arakan Student and Youth Council (AASYC) and Dhaka based Narinjara News Agency. Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) in cooperation with Rakhine National Development Party (RNDP) is also responsible for mass killings of Rohingyas. Look at the following document how ALP has broken their own treaty with Rohingyas and is trying to have an exclusively Rakhine nation.

Now, the readers probably have a clearer picture of Rakhine movements and why they are trying to eradicate Rohingyas, whom once they themselves recognized.

Regarding the recent movements of Rakhine extremists, Saw Mra Raza Linn lives in Dhaka and is the President of the Dhaka based RWU and a central executive member of ALP. She married to a Bangladeshi Rakhine Buddhist living in Dhaka. He is the founder and head of Rakhine Development Foundation (RDF), an NGO registered by Bangladesh government. Her husband’s sister, Mra Aye Thein from Barisal of Baggona, is a selected and appointed (not elected) member of parliament of Awami League.

Saw Mra Raza Linn
On 27th August 2012, she together with other six people from ALP and UPDF illegally crossed the Naff River, the Teknaf-Maung Daw border and entered Burma. They were given a warm welcome by the Rakhine extremists and separatists in Arakan. In Akyab (Sittwe), they held several secrets meetings with the Rakhine Buddhist Extremists such as Rakhine National Development Party (RNDP). They have reached to an agreement with Burmese government to open an ALP liaison office in Arakan. From Arakan, she went to Rangoon (the second capital of Burma) to meet with higher government officials and other members of RNDP. The question is: how could a woman living in Dhaka and known for working against Burmese government for a long time illegally cross Bangladesh-Burma border, enter Burma and go to Rangoon to meet the higher officials of Burmese government?

The Meeting in Chiangmai, Thailand: From 11th to 14th January 2013, a SECRET meeting among the Rakhine extremists and separatists was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The members of Rakhine National Development Party (RNDP) from Burma, Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), members of the other Rakhine parties mentioned above and prominent members of Bangladesh Rakhine Buddhist Separatists participated in the meeting. It was the first ever meeting after 2004, where different Rakhine groups from different countries attended the meeting. The press statements from the meeting and other details are as follow.

(Press Release on Arakan National Workshop and Paper to present at the Arakan National Workshop by AHRDO are Burmese language. We are inconvenient to translate them into English lest the writings would become too long. But by looking at the rebuttals to the allegations made in the statement, one can guess what the original statements are.)

Rebuttals to the Allegations:

  1. Rakhines have the rights to create their own destiny in unity BUT doing so can’t damage other human beings.
  2. The formation of the committee to unite Rakhine people is welcome unless the committee tries to implement the fascist policies.
  3. If Rohingyas are illegal invading Bengalis, then what are you? Rakhines live in both Bangladesh and Burma. They are not Rohingyas who are coming in into Arakan but leaving Arakan. Rakhines are certainly sneaking into Arakan taking advantage of the presence of their people in the administration.
Look their ALP’s agreement shown above (because Rakhines, today, in their fanaticism, refuse to accept what the international scholars say on Rohingyas.) If 1982 Citizenship Law (an illegal and black law that violates several internal laws, human rights and norms) is to be implemented, let it be implemented to all Burmese people including Rakhine themselves. Stop using the term “Bengali” for Rohingya; it is not the identity Rohingya belongs to. If you use such, Rohingya will use your historical term “Magh,” which you are ashamed of.
  4. It is up to the Burmese government to approve the decisions by Rakhine extremists taken in the Rathedaung meeting from September 25-26, 2012. No matter whether it is approved or not, Adolf Hitler would certainly be happy to see his ardent followers in Arakan, Burma were he alive.
  5. All the innocent Rakhines should be protected from any kinds of harms anywhere in the world. But do not lie that they are facing threats both in Burma and in abroad.
  6. Demand to stop the offensive war against Kachins is more than welcome unless it is for your own political benefits.
The meeting was held in Thailand rather in Bangladesh or in Burma. Why should they do so unless it was against the interests of both Bangladesh and Burma? It is worth wondering why Burmese government allowed RNDP members to attend at a meeting which was itself against the government! It is worth wondering whether Bangladesh government allowed Burma born Saw Mra Raza Linn to hold Bangladesh Passport and travel to Thailand to attend the meeting which was against the interest of Bangladesh! The respective governments have to answer for these. Besides, it is up to the readers to wonder why Kritine Gould, CEO at PACRIM Research Associates, Counterterrorism Plans Officer at US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), arranged such a fascist meeting and sponsored those who are up for the ethnic cleansing of a particular minority. Isn’t that a serious matter to think of??

Wake up Bangladeshis, Burmese!! It is very unfortunate that neither Burma nor Bangladesh understands the separatist tendency and long term ambition of these Rakhine war criminals. To stop the Rakhine province to secede from Burma, Rakhine leadership is right that it is only Rohingyas that can help Burma stay together. It is important to know that Rakhines are only 5% of Burmese population but are 30% in the Burmese administration including army. If they go to jungle, it will be a major challenge for Burma. In addition, there are Rakhine militant groups such as ALP and Arakan Army working for the same purpose.

Similarly for Bangladesh, research shows, the rebellions in Chittagong Hill Tracts such as UPDF has been instigated largely by the Rakhine separatists from Burma. Some innocent looking Rakhine monks were found to carry weapons in Bangladesh. For its internal security, it would be good for Bangladesh to monitor these war criminals and their movements within Bangladesh. For the Rohingyas, if the international community ignores the killings of Rohingyas by the Rakhine extremist leaders, they and the international community must have the right to arrest them and send them to the ICC and stop their criminal bugging in that part of the world. Surely, if timely actions are not taken, there is a costly price to pay by both Bangladesh and Burma for silence! The heavy price will be in the form of losing Chittagong hill tracts and Arakan respectively to the Rakhine separatists.

Rohingyas’ Request: Rohingya community would like to urge the extremists in Rakhine community to abandon extremism and exclusiveness policies, not to manipulate Buddhism for their own interests, to recognize and respect the differences and to cooperate with their sister community forgetting what has happened in the past and stopping what is happening now for the sake of the peace, tranquility and the developments in the region. If they two communities cooperate, they can work together to achieve an autonomous or federal state within the union of Burma. Let’s not separate Arakan as it is not a preferable idea.

(Note: Neither all Rakhines nor all Buddhists in Burma and Bangladesh are extremists. My writings here do not have anything to do with the peace-loving Buddhists, Rakhines and other communities.

The writings, here, are to an extent inspired by the writings of Dr. Abid Bahar and a Writer named Soe Min.)
