"Rakhines from the villages of Kanthayar and Bodigoon of Baggona village tract have applied to the Maungdaw District Administration to provide security for Rakhines. They wrote to the district administration that they were unable to go to the bazaar of Baggona because they had to to fear of Rohingyas in the village. Therefore, the district administration provided a sub-battalion of Security Force that encamped by the office of village administration. It is under Major Aye Ngwe of the battalion of Hlun Htein. As NaSaKa (Border Security Force) was dissolved in July 2013, NaSaKa at the region 7 camp in the village of Mag-Gyi Chaung (Faatonza), Maungdaw, was replaced by this Hlun Htein Battalion.

Now, the security force started to loot Rohingya passers-by, shopkeepers, vegetable and food sellers etc. If people refuse to give them money, fish and vegetable etc, they beat and harass them. It has become unbearable. We would like to request the government of Myanmar to take action against these security forces" said a Rohingya victimised by these security forces recently.

Maungdaw, Arakan - Maungdaw Police and Hlun Htein (Security Force) arrested a Rakhine terrorist together with weapons in the village of Labbaw Za (Aarossha Fara)), northern Maungdaw, on 8th December 2013.

"On 8th December 2013 evening, Maungdaw Police (Nay-Htin, in charge of regional security) and Hlun Htein (Security Force) (of former NaSaKa Commandement Area 6) arrested a Rakhine terrorist in the village Ka-yin Chaung of Labbaw Za (Aarossha Fara) village tract, northern Maungdaw. Weapons seized from the terrorist were one latest 16-round pistol, some magazines of bullets and a few grenades. When investigated, he said he is a member of Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) and a local of Kyaukphyu Township. His name is Tun Aung Zan (son of) Aung Tun Kyaw. And National ID Card Number is "11/KaPhaNa (Naing) 004538" said a elderly Rohingya from a nearby village.

"ALP plays a major role in the violence against Rohingyas in Arakan. They often rob Rohingya houses in northern Maungdaw. The terrorist mentioned above was one of the few ALP terrorists arrested. And many others are still attempting to destabilize the peaceful situation in northern Maungdaw. Simultaneously, they are conspiring against the government of Myanmar as well" he continued.

Maungdaw, Arakan: Rakhine Police from Maungdaw Police station arrested an innocent Rohingya from Quarter 5 of Maungdaw on 29th December 2013. He was tortured for one day at the Police Station so as to extort Kyat 1 Million.

"At 7:30PM on 29th Novemeber 2013, Rakhine Police from Maungdaw Police Station arbitrarily arrested Lalu (son of) Fazal from West Hamlet of Quarter 5 of Maungdaw under false accusation of involving in the violence in June 2012. He was detainted and tortured in the police station for one day.

And around 12:30PM on 30th Novemeber 2013, Police released him having extorted Kyat 1 Million. He runs a small business of Bamboo-Trading and a bamboo shop in the village. His house was burnt down by Rakhine terrorists in June 2012. He has to still live in a fragile tent built within his house premise" said a Rohingya in Maungdaw.

"It is an opens-secret that the violence has been state-sponsored and against Rohingyas and other Muslims only. The degree that Rakhine suffered during the violence in June 2012 is very very minimal in comparison to the sufferings of Muslims. Yet, Rakhine authority arrest and torture innocent Rohingyas and extort money from them under the banner of incitement of violence. It is extremely cruel and unjust" he added.

Maung Daw, Arakan - Yesterday (17th July 2013) morning, U Abdullah (28), a Rohingya religious scholar from the village of Waccha, southern Maung Daw, was arbitrarily arrested and tortured by the fanatic Rakhine Police. It has been reported that the Police were from Police station located in nearby Rakhine village of Myawaddy.

“His name is U Abdullah S/o U Abdu Shukkor (Age 28). A young, innocent and religious scholar with a good morality! Suddenly, this morning, three Police officers raided the village of Waccha and arrested him for no reason. He was handcuffed, severely beaten and tortured. Then, Police stripped him off his clothes by force before the eyes of his fellow villagers. While Police was dragging him to their station, he managed to run away. The Police were from the station located in nearby Rakhine village of Myawaddy” said a villager.

The villager continued “so after a few hours, around 15 Police Officers raided the village again. They were indiscriminately beating children, young, old, men and women alike. They were robbing money from every Rohingya they found before them.

Besides, Police threatened us ‘if you don’t tell us where this man is hiding, we will carry out similar things tomorrow as well.’ We don’t even know where he is hiding. We are extremely worried and living in terror.”

It has been continually reported that since the abolition of NaSaKa (Border Security Force), Police, made up of racist Rakhines, has got absolute authority and power to oppress Rohingyas. And they are brutally carrying out atrocities against Rohingyas as expected.

July 12, 2013

The institution of NaSaKa (Border Security Force) has been abolished by the government of Myanmar today. According to the announcement order “59/2013” issued by the President’s Office today (i.e. July 12, 2013), the institution has been abolished from today onward.

The sudden abolishment of NaSaKa might come as a shocker to many and at the same time, the news might sound sweet to some. Meanwhile, many can’t decide whether it is for better or worse.

NaSaKa force was founded by the toppled ex-general Khin Nyunt in early 1990s. Some of the purposes behind the establishment of the NaSaKa Force were:

(1) To put restrictions on Rohingyas’ marriages
(2) To limit Rohingyas’ birth
(3) To confine their movements and travels
(4) To carry out regularly twice a year census operation against Rohingyas
(5) To depopulate their population by exerting various pressures on them, torturing them in many ways, driving them out of Arakan, even killing them
(6) And many.

In short, it was a force and tool created to implement ethnic cleansing of Rohingyas and genocide against them. Therefore, NaSaKa Force had been red-handed with blood of Rohingyas right from its establishment.

Moreover, especially in the ongoing violence against Rohingyas in Arakan that erupted in June 2012, the destructive role that NaSaKa played in the cleansing of Rohingyas has been spotlighted by various human rights groups, international community and Rohingya community themselves.

Therefore, the intention behind the sudden abolishment of NaSaKa Institution can be interpreted in many ways.

(1) NaSaKa had been the effective tool machine in exterminating Rohingyas. And hence, it committed countless crimes against humanity. The only way for the government to get impunity for those crimes committed by the institution is the abolishment of the institution. WE MUST NOT FORGET THAT NASAKA COULD ACT UPON NOTHING WITHOUT THE COMMANDMENT FROM THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT OF MYANMAR. HENCE, THE GOVERNMENT OF MYANMAR MUST ANSWER FOR ALL THE CRIMES AGAINST ROHINGYAS, NOT ONLY NASAKAS. Nevertheless, the current pseudo civilian government made up of ex-generals can easily shake off any accusations against them and hence will be able to get impunity.

(2) The abolishment can merely be a replacement of old and rusty exterminating machine with a new, efficient and effective one. That is to say NaSaKa is being replaced with a well-trained, worse, more cruel institution effective in exterminating Rohingyas.

(3) Or it can be just a mind game, without practical implementation of the abolishment, to change people’s perceptions on Myanmar.

Meanwhile, the responsibilities of NaSaKa can be taken over either by Police or by Military. If Police, composed of mainly Rakhine extremist, are handed over the responsibilities of NaSaKa, then Rohingyas especially in Maung Daw and Buthidaung are going to face a life of hell.

However, we pray and hope everything turns out to be peaceful and better for all the people living in Myanmar.

Than Dwe, Arakan - Around 50 Rakhine members of 969 Rakhine terrorist Franchise in Arakan led by the in-charge of “Ye Aung Hlen” bus station, Kyaw Kyaw, surrounded a Police Station in Than Dwe Township demanding a Muslim boy rumored to have relationship with a Rakhine girl. Subsequently, six houses of Muslims were destroyed in the quarter of An-Taw. Besides, a motor vehicle stop called “Kaung Kin Thit Sar” owned by Muslim was also vandalized.

When asked to local Muslim in Than Dwe, he explained “there are many rumors being spread by Rakhine terrorists so as to trigger violence against Kaman Muslims again.

Rumor #1

A Muslim boy has proposed a Rakhine girl through shaking hands.

Rumor #2

A Muslim boy raped a Rakhine Buddhist girl from the village of Myun-Pyin.

Rumor #3

Three Muslims on their motorbikes hit a Rakhine girl passing by. They are reportedly put in the Police Lock-Up as well.

Therefore, Rakhine terrorists surrounding and blocking the Police station are demanding the Police to hand over the three Muslims to them. Burmese military and Rakhine terrorists have been raping and abusing hundreds of Rohingya women and minor girls. Nothing is questioned about that. And they are trying to kill Rohingya and Kaman Muslims for something they haven’t done at all.”

He further expressed his fear “the way they blocked the Police station today was very much like they had done in Kyauk Ni Maw and Akyab (Sittwe) few days earlier than the violence took place in June last year. Therefore, people are extremely worried if they trigger similar violence again. In fact, people are living under the terror caused by these terrorists.”

One more local of Than Dwe reported “while the Police station under their blockage, another group of Rakhine extremists from the village of Jit Htaw located at the South-West Part of Than Dwe attempted to come to the Police Station to carry out terrorist attacks. Fortunately, Military could prevent them in time.

Meanwhile, six houses and a bus station called “Kaung Kin Thit Sar” owned by Muslims were completely destroyed in the quarter of An-Taw. And after authority had imposed Curfew Order (Section 144), the situation became quiet to an extent.”

Latest Happenings: after six Muslim houses getting destroyed in the quarter of An-Taw, the situation in the town calmed down for a while. Now, Rakhine terrorists have started torching the houses of Muslims again. Reportedly, Fire Brigades also set out to the place where Rakhine terrorists are burning Muslims’ houses down.

Five More Kaman Houses Burnt Down by Rakhine Terrorists

Five more houses of Kamans in the quarter of An-Taw were burnt down by the Rakhine terrorists even amidst the imposition of Curfew Order 144. The razed houses include the houses belonged to U Myo Thit, Daw Win Kyi (a female Ob-Gyn) and the forester of Than Dwe. Although Military have taken charge of the security, they are doing nothing to prevent the torching of the houses giving an excuse that they have not got any order for action yet.

Maung Daw, Arakan - Yesterday (June 18) at 9 A.M, around 20 Burmese military together with some Rakhine terrorists raided and looted six Rohingya houses in the eastern part of the village of Duchiradan (Kilaidaung), Southern Maung Daw. Besides, they bodily abused Rohingya women in the houses under raid in the name of so-called search for Bangladeshi mobile phones.

“20 Military and some Rakhine terrorists surrounded and looted six houses in Eastern Kilaidaung (Duchiradan). The raid was carried under the accusation of the possession of illegal woods and Bangladeshi mobile phones. Of the six robbed families, two are:

(1) Mv Moortobis S/o Abdu Jalil
(2) Abdul Kalam S/o Shukkor

They robbed jewelries, money and other valuable properties. They stripped some Rohingya women off their clothes in the name of so-called search for Bangladeshi mobile phones. No incidents of rapes against the women took place as it is said. However, stripping a woman off her clothes is of grave and serious concern. It is really humiliating” said an elderly Rohingya in a vulnerable tone.

He continued “one of the 12 Rakhine terrorists who were trying to torch a Rohingya house in the village on 8th June 2013 was caught by the villagers and got handed over to NaSaKa (Border Security Force). During investigation, the terrorist was proved guilty of. That’s why they (Rakhines in cooperation with their allied Military) are carrying out raids and torturing the villagers.

As usual and like the previous robberies, Captain Htaik Soe of the military light infantry unit 352 based at Kayemyaing, Southern Maung Daw, led the brutal raid and robbed the Rohingya houses. We plead to the central government of Myanmar to stop him from robbing and arbitrarily torturing Rohingyas on daily basis and international community to effectively come forward to helping us.”

Maung Daw, Arakan - Captain Htaik Soe of Military Light Infantry Unit 355 and U Tin Tun, head of Police Base, at Kayemyaing, Southern Maung Daw and their comrades are continuously beating and robbing Rohingyas in Southern Maung Daw. According to the reports, they had robbed three Rohingyas in Southern Maung Daw on 11th June 2013.

Besides, “between 9:30AM and 1PM on 12th June 2013, they robbed money and jewelries from six Rohingya families in the village of Kilaindaung (Duchira Dan), Southern Maung Daw. The heads of the robbed Rohingya families are:

On 12th June 2013 morning, Deputy NaSaKa (Border Security Force) Administrator (Du-Kwaykay YeHmuu) visited the village of Kilaidaung for investigation concerning some Rakhine terrorists’ attempts to torch Rohingyas’ houses in the village on 9th June 2013. Two military including the captain Htaik Soe, nine NaSaKas and the Police Head of Kayemyaing Station took charge of the security ahead of the his visit.

Before his arrival and after his departure, the military, NaSaKa and Police altogether broke into the houses of Rohingyas and robbed whatever they found before them. Fearing their barbaric behaviors, few Rohingyas had left their houses as they were coming to rob. And other Rohingyas who defied them and resisted from being robbed were severely beaten and threatened of life imprisonments” said a nearby Rohingya villager.

“These officers such Captain Htaik Soe, Police Head Tin Tun and another Police officer called Aye Tun are beating, robbing and continuing all their barbarous acts against Rohingyas every day. Our situation is only getting worse and more disastrous day by day here” he exclaimed.

Rohingyas have been the victims of a conspired Genocide in the hands of brutal Burmese Regime and Rakhine terrorists. Burmese regimes have been creating a conspiracy after a conspiracy to blindfold the international community. Today, Rohingyas, who are on the verge of extermination, have been living in fear of being massacred. To exaggerate their fear of becoming victims of targeted violence again, a highly suspicious film shooting took place in the village of Shikda Fara (Myoma Kayintan), Maung Daw, from 1:30PM to 2:30PM on 5th June 2013. Here is its true account as it has been told by an eyewitness.

“Around 1:30PM, about 12 Military Personnel from the camp based at Basic Education High School (BEHS) 1 located in the village of Myoma Kayintan took some intimidating pictures to create a fake situation suspected to carry out further more violence against Rohingyas.

The military personnel with their cameras went to the road between Basic Education High School 1 and Basic Education Primary School (it is also the road to the central mosque) in the village. They were accompanied by two Policemen (Tin Aye and a Bama Police) and five Rakhine youths. Subsequently, they blocked the road and so did the villagers’ access. Some descriptions such as “STARTING FOR THE SECOND TIME, ANYONE WHO CROSSES IT WILL BE SHOT DOWN” were written on the Road Barricades.

The Rakhine youths had to do rehearsals for the shots several times as they kept laughing. While the military were holding up their guns and one of them was with a micro-speaker as if issuing warning, Rakhine youths were made to act as if they were trying to attack the Military by stones and sticks. Then, taking pictures and making videos of the scenes including Rohingya passers-by in different dimensions followed.

Another shot of the video was made as a military captain asked one of the military to take off his uniform and to pretend as if he was a civilian caught by a police officer. He did as he was asked to and one of the motor policemen acted of forcing him to lie down, twisting one of his arms and putting his (Police Officer’s) gun on the attacker’s (the military person’s) back.

One thing here, what one of us spotted was, when the actor (the military) happened to show his face during the shoot, the cameramen asked him not to show his face. We suspect he was asked so because they were pretending as though Rohingyas attacking the military. This might be preliminary steps to making up fake videos before they prompt another massive violence against Rohingyas.

On the same day, three trucks of Monks and Rakhine youths from rural areas were taken into a monastery called Aung Mye Bawdi at the northern part of the same village tract. Later, the military went there and asked them to put their hands up while they were getting off the trucks only to make videos of the scenes.

We have never seen film shooting in our areas. This time we could see but it might not be for our pleasure and it can blast us if it goes as to our suspicions. We also suspect the authority did all these drama to extend the Curfew (Martial Law) period continuously against Rohngyas. Since the curfew order imposed on Rohingyas, they have neither been able to move nor been able to work.”

Maung Daw, Arakan- Starting at 8AM today (04.06.2013), NaSaKas (Border Security Force) are carrying out raids against Rohingyas in the village of Kyi Kan Pyin (Khawar Bil) in Maung Daw. NaSaKas are from the headquarter located nearby the village. They are raiding the village in order to Bengalize Rohingya villagers by means of brutal force.

“At 8AM, NaSaKa surrounded the western section and the middle section of the village of Khawar Bil. And they have been raiding the village since then. Since NaSaKa’s primary targets are Rohingya men, Rohingya men from the middle section of the village are hiding in the forest and from western section of the village, they fled to nearby villages.

Meanwhile, the village administration officers of Khawar Bil and others were called on for a meeting by the head of the NaSaKa administration today. In their absences, NaSaKa is brutally forcing to Bengalize any Rohingya they find before them.

As the village is still under NaSaKa blockage, we are unable to confirm any carrying out any brutalities and atrocities being carried out by NaSaKas. But the villagers are really afraid” said a Rohingya youth from Maung Daw.

“Besides, NaSaKa often carry out tortures and extortion of money from the poor villagers” he added.

Maung Daw, Arakan- NaSaKa (Border Security Force) under the commandment area 8 arrested six innocent Rohingyas from the village of Udaung, Southern Maung Daw. Having extorted kyat 700,000, NaSaKa released them later.

NaSaKa is carrying out this in cooperation with the village administrator, U Tin Maung. But before raiding, NaSaKa send U Maung Mra, brother-in-law, of U Tin Maung to threaten the villagers that they will be charged and arrested if the demanded money is not given. If the villagers refuse to give money, the next day, NaSaKa raid and arrest people and take them to their camp. Then, people are tortured as long as they don’t fulfill NaSaKa’s demands” said a villager.

Yesterday (i.e. on 25th May 2012), four innocent Rohingyas were accused of getting married illegally and subsequently arrested.

“These kinds of extortion of money are nothing new. It has been going on since the time of ex-general and despot Khin Nyunt. People have been getting arrested with such arbitrary cases. And after the extortion of money, NaSaKa release them” he continued.

The profiles of these four people with the respective amount of money extorted are:

(1) U Shamshu S/o Mv. Shabbir Hussain from Kundan, Udaung, Kyat 150,000
(2) Mg Azizu Rahman S/o Mv Ramullah from Zumma, Udaung, Kyat 150,000
(3) Mv Shamsul Alam from Kundan, Udaung, Kyat 100,000
(4) Mg Syedullah S/o U Rabi Ahmed from Northern Udaung, Kyat 150,000

Although they got released after paying money to NaSaKa, U Maung Mra, the brother in-law of U Tin Maung, is asking for Kyat 300,000 more from them.

“U Shamshu got released after paying Kyat 150,000. Yet, U Maung Mra is demanding Kyat 300,000 more. Otherwise, he is threatening that he will put some other charges against U Shamshu and ask NaSaKa to arrest him” the villager said.

Besides, NaSaKa arrested Mv. Abdu Shukkor who had been released by the Intelligence Officer, U Aung Kyaw Zin, few days ago after the extortion of money. Besides, his younger brother Ziaurrahaman also got arrested.

“They paid to Intelligence officer for their releases. Again, NaSaKa arrested them knowing that they could extort money. They were released later after extorting Kyat 60,000 from each” he added.

NaSaKa also arrested and beat a young Rohingya who was taking care of his cattle accusing that he was exporting cattle to the other countries.

“Hf Rashidullah s/o Rahmant Ullah was taking care of his cattle. Since their religious school has been locked down, he is working on his cattle. For that, NaSaKa accused him of smuggling cattle from Rathedaung to other countries. And then, they surrounded and beat him. It has always been like this here. There is no law here. NaSaKa and authority beat us as they wish. They extort money from us whenever they wish” the villager exclaimed.

"Every week, every shop in the village of Alay Than Kyaw has to pay Kyat 1000 to his office as extortion money. Rohingyas from the surrounding villages are also suffering from similar tortures" said a local villager.

Yesterday (i.e. on 24.05.2013), he arrested and detained Mv. Abdu Shukkor S/o Shafikur Rahman accusing that his younger brother, Hefzur Rahman, from the village of Udaung, under NaSaKa commandment area 8, stayed illegally at his (Hefzur Rahman's) own mother-in-law's house in Alay Than Kyaw.

"The accused was someone and the arrested person was someone else. Mv. Abdu Shukkor was arrested while he was working in his farm.

Even on half-way, he extorted Kyat 150,000 and released Mv. Abdu Shukkor on the guarantee of Mauzu Rahman, (ex-chairman of the village), the current license holder on Animal Slaughtering. These arbitrary arrests and extortion of money are going on everyday" he continued.

Besides, he went on search for U Rahimullah S/o U Nagu from the village of Zumma of Udaung village tract under the accusation of so-called Human Trafficking to Malaysia. He scolded and insulted the man's wife when he (the searched person) was not found at his home.

"U Aung Kyaw Zin takes information from U Maung Mya, the father-in-law of U Tin Maung, the administrator of Udaung village, regarding which Rohingya in the village is how rich. Then, he makes up false cases and extorts money from the people" the villager added.

Rakhine False’s Claim (continuation of the previous title)

However, a reasonable answer was given by Dr. Aye Chan (the then U Aye Chan) under the title “Assessment of Rakhine History” in “Rakhine Tasaung magazine 1975-76.” He mentioned

“All inscriptions before 10th century were Indian literature. Not only the ruling class but their subjects also used that literature. Burmese inscriptions were found only after 10th century. For instance, Desaraza Stone inscription! That was a swift change. There might have been a rapid and momentous political and cultural revolution in Arakan during (early) 10th century A.D. So it is difficult for us to say the present Rakhine are the same as those settlers before 10th century. It is an important issue remains to clear up for coming generation researchers.”

What Dr. Aye Chan mentioned here alone is sufficient for one with a right mind to understand that the people before 10th century were not same to the present Rakhines (of Tibeto-Burman Group). That’s to say they were Indians (same to the present Rohingyas). To be clearer on what had happened in Arakan around 10th century, Maurice Collis mentioned

“The area now known as North Arakan has been for many years before the 8th century the seat of Hindu dynasties; in 788 A.D., a new dynasty, known as the Chandras, founded the city of Wesali [the dynasty then] came to an end in 957 A.D., being overwhelmed by a Mongolian invasion."… (Maurice Collis, Arakan's Place in the Civilization of the Bay, p. 486) ***

However, it is cheering to read Narinjara News Agency led by some Rakhine scholars living in Bangladesh admitting in the history section “their (Rakhines’) forebears entered the country only in the 9th Century CE as the advance guard of the Myanmar people.” (http://goo.gl/7lwvF

In contrast to some present day writer’s unsubstantiated claim that Rakhine is an Indo-Aryan race, a Senior Rakhine Politician and Historian U Hla Tun Pru said, Rakhine and Burman have affinity in blood and religion. He quoted a Burmese adage to substantiate his remise that Burman, Bran, Rakhine, Yaw, and Tavoy . . . . . . all together seven groups none but Burman races. (History of Arakan; Combination of his articles; published by U Min Lwin).

Exposing the Unsubstantiated Claims

Yet, there are Rakhine leaders with the vested-interest who are blindly trying to stick to the baseless claim of having Indo-Aryan origin. These Rakhines will end up humiliating themselves for their claim to have Aryan blood and attempt to relate them with the earlier Indian Kings.

GENETICS TESTS on mtDNAs and Y-DNAs on Rakhines to confirm their origin, a thorough archeological survey in the ancient sites in Arakan and subsequent open and honest disclosing of the findings by the scholars will expose all the purported lies of Rakhine bigotry scholars and might reveal many more hidden secrets of Arakan. But all these do not seem to be happening in the near future due to the involvements of local and global powers behind the exclusion of Rohingya people.

By far, it has become evident that the indigenous people of Arakan were/are Indo-Aryans (i.e. Indians) followed by Mongoloid Tibeto-Burman in 957 CE. And if you are to consider Rohingyas as the illegal Bengali settlers of British colonial time, a question that may likely to come on your mind is “where have all the descendents of the indigenous Indo-Aryans of Arakan gone today? There is no historical record at all that says Indo-Aryans were exterminated by the invading Mongoloid Tibeto-Burmans after their invasion of Arakan in 957CE. As so, it is not hard to understand that while the kingdoms had shifted from the hands of Indo-Aryans to the hands of Tibeto-Burman, Indo-Aryans continued their usual lives as normal people. Similarly, it is also not difficult to confess that Rohingyas are the bona-fide descendents of the indigenous Indo-Aryans of Arakan unless you, intentionally, try to eradicate the true history.

Claims on the Ground of Religion

Moreover, another excuse given by a few self-centered Rakhine bigotry scholars to make the kings and the people before 10th century as if from their own people/race is based on the ground the religion: Buddhism. Read the following.

"The earliest dawn of the history of Arakan reveals the base of the hills, which divide the lower course of the Kaladan and Lemro rivers, inhabited by sojourners from India, governed by chiefs who claim relationship with the rulers of Kapilavastu.

Their subjects are divided into the four castes of the older Hindu communities; the kings and priests study the three Vedas; the rivers, hills, and cities bear names of Aryan origin; and the titles assumed by the king and queen regent suggest connection with the Solar and Lunar dynasties of India." (Dr. Emil Forchhammer, A Report on the History of Arakan, Page. 1)

“Refer back at the evidence given by Maurice Collis mentioned and shown with *** above”

….."The Chandra kings were upholders of Buddhism, guarding and glorifying the Mahamunni [sic] shrine; their territory extended as far north as Chittagong" [then known as Chatigrama], "The conclusion to be drawn from this MS is that Wesali [Vaishali] was an easterly Hindu kingdom of Bengal, following the Mahayanist form of Buddhism and that both government and people were Indian as the Mongolian influx had not yet occurred." (Maurice Collis, Arakan's Place in the Civilization of the Bay, Page. 486)

Therefore, we can conclude from the above-mentioned evidences that the people in Arakan before 10th century were the followers of Hinduism, Buddhism and Animism. However, in mentioning so, what some selfish Rakhine historians fail to admit are:

(1) The Hindus, Buddhists and Animists during those periods were only Indians (as Rohingyas are today), not Mongoloid Tibeto-Burman (as Rakhines are today).

(2) The Buddhism in Arakan before 10th century was in the form of Mahayana, not Theravada (or Hinayana) that Rakhines follow today.

Opening of the Mosques and Locking Down Again

On 15th May 2013, the district administration and the township administration of Maung Daw asked local Rohingyas to open some mosques that had been locked down since June 2012 and pray in the mosques to get protected from Mahasen cyclone. The mosques were the main Mosque of Maung Daw in Quarter 1, two mosques in Quarter 2 and one in the village of Maung Ni.

People were glad to see the mosques open and to have permission to pray in the mosques that had been locked for almost a year. As the cyclone changed its direction off the Arakan coast, Maung Daw authority locked the mosques down again at 2PM on 18th January 2013. Facing this situation, the local Rohingya Muslims in Maung Daw are feeling extremely sad and let down according to a Rohingya in Maung Daw.

The Arbitrary Arrests of Rohingyas Due to Their Denial to Be Bengalized

On 13th May 2013, Mohammed Salam S/o Syed Ahmed (45), from the village of Khawar Bil (Kyi Kan Pyin), Maung Daw, was arrested by NaSaKa (Border Security Force) as he refused to participate in the biometric process of forced Bengalization. On 18th May 2013, he was charged under the section “Nga/Nya” according to his family.

It has been announced that the authority will start Bengalizing Rohingyas by force from 21st May 2013 onwards. Therefore, many Rohingyas are afraid and trying to escape the injustice for another country.

Call Yourself Bengali, We Will Issue All Kind of Permission

Rohingyas have been living in an open prison called Arakan for more than two decades. Rohingyas have been immense trouble as they have been deprived of such Basic Human Rights as freedom of marriage, freedom of family planning and freedom of medical treatments etc. They have been forced by NaSaKa to pay Kyat 10,000 to Kyat 100,000 to get permission to practice such basic human rights on top of that they have been tortured, persecuted and arbitrarily arrested and imprisoned in the hands of NaSaKa, Police, Military, SaRaPha (Military Intelligence), township administration and village administration for decades.

Nowadays, at the gates of the NaSaKa Camps in Kyi Kan Pyin, Maung Daw, there are signboards stating that we will issue you travel permission, marriage permission and other sorts of permissions only when you give your finger prints calling yourself a Bengali. People will never call themselves Bengalis because they are not. Even though, people agree to do so, it is very difficult to say if they will live up to their promise because they like to abuse others. Therefore, people are really worried according to a villager.

Pauktaw, Arakan - The internally displaced Rohingyas in the camps of Sandama (Sin Tet Maw) are critically in need of humanitarian aids. The number of the displaced Rohingyas in Sin Tet Maw camp has increased as other internally displaced Rohingyas from the camps of Nget Chaung shifted to the camp ahead of the cyclone storm.

“We shifted here in search of the safer place ahead of the storm. We could hardly bring anything with us due to the different restrictions. We have no food, shelter and clothes here. And we are unable to go back to the previous places” a sad displaced Rohingya.

UNHCR provided them some roof covers yesterday. Food and other necessary materials have not been provided. “Yesterday, UNHCR provided us some plastic roof covers. Besides, we have not achieved any help from any other concerned quarter. We are really living in a critically miserable condition. We request of all the humanitarian agencies and all those who have feeling for us to come forward to help us” he exclaimed.

Maung Daw, Arakan - This morning from 8 to 10 O’ Clock, three trucks of Burmese military stopped at the Bazaar of the village of Shikdafara (Myoma Kayintan). Then, they gathered some poor children and women begging at the Bazaar and took pictures of them in different positions in order to blindfold the world with the pictures portraying as if they helped Rohingyas ahead of the cyclone storm.

“Three trucks of military came from the squadron at the Maung Daw High School under the battalion number 352 at KyeMyaing, Southern Maung Daw. They stopped at the Bazaar of Shikdafara and gathered some poor children and women begging at the roadsides. And then they took a photograph of the poor people.

After that, Military put them on a truck and took another picture. Continuously, the people were taken to a place not so far from the previous one. Then, they were asked to get off. Military provided some biscuits and candies to the kids. Having received that, the kids smiled. Meanwhile, military took another photograph of them. They were released afterwards” said a local Rohingya.

“It is nothing but their desperate attempt to blindfold the world with their usual tactics. Yes, they did issue warnings about the storm but they didn’t help Rohingyas in going to the safer places at all. Rather, the government seems unhappy because Mahasen cyclone went off the tract of Arakan coast and didn’t destroy Rohingya people” he added.

Sittwe, Arakan - Police vandalized the shelter tents of the internally displaced Rohingyas at Thay Chaung, Sittwe. The tents were used by the displaced Rohingyas came from Kyauk Phyu Township. Police destroyed the tents as the displaced Rohingyas evacuated them ahead of the Mahasen Cyclone.

“Most of our tents were crude and self-made. The government didn’t even help us in making them. We had left the camps ahead of the storm. Meanwhile, Police destroyed our shelters” said a displaced Rohingya from Thay Chaung.

Having issued the warnings on the Cyclone, the central government and the state government left no stone unturned to force the displaced Rohingyas to the nearest possible places towards the sea.

“The places the government planned for the displaced Rohingyas are the nearest to the sea. We are the people against whom genocide is being committed by the government. On top of that, they wanted to kill us in mass by forcing us to the nearest to the places to the sea during the storm. That’s why we refused to move to such places” he explained.

As the displaced people refused to move to the places nearest to the sea, Police and Hluntin (security forces) vandalized their self-made makeshift tents.

“Those police who were said to have come to help us behaved like murderers. That’s why people became afraid when Police come. As expected, Police destroyed our tents in our absence. Even though we had moved to the places nearest to the sea as the government wanted, we would not have had any places to stay either” he exclaimed about their crises.

During the period natural disasters, any responsible government, in any corner of the world, remains engaged in evacuation programs and taking protective steps in order to save its citizens or people from disasters. And Cyclone storm approaches Arakan coast, which is now barely around 300 miles away from the coast. But Burmese regime is up to deceiving the world with its usual cunning and apartheid methods. And of course, the domestic media in Burma are not but on par with Burmese regime in deceptions and lying. The Burmese government is telling the world that it is relocating the displaced Rohingyas to the higher places in order to protect them from the possible disasters. The domestic media are biblically spreading the news as such.

But how is the regime helping Rohingyas in moving to the safer places? All the Rohingyas in all over Arakan have the same account to say. Let’s have a look into the miserable situation that Rohingyas say they are in. “There are some camps of Rakhines on the beach besides the Sittway Hotel. They are, in actual fact, are poor Rakhines who are made to pretend as if Refugees by authority in order to hide the reality of the one-sided violence targeted Rohingyas. At the same time, they are having International assistances pretending as if Refugees. Now, those Rakhines are being moved to the monasteries and schools.

Cruelly enough, the Arakan state administration asked the displaced Rohingyas in Sittway to move to the camps at the beach being evacuated by Rakhines. There is a possibility that this place will get in the water as the water level arises. By this, it will not be difficult for one to understand that the government just wants to kill Muslims” said a displaced Rohingyas from Sittway.

Another local Rohingya from southern Maung Daw states “what we are worried of is that the only government staffs and Rakhines have been moved to the safe places such as to the mountains. Rohingyas are still in their houses. In the villages such as Kunkara Fara, Baddil and Gojjon Dia of Padin village tract, Shikda Fara (Kayin Tan) and some other villages in Maung Daw, the authority officials are gathering Rohingyas by force and shooting videos to make up a fake scenario to deceive the world that they are helping Rohingyas. In reality, it is completely opposite situation.”

The head of the Maung Daw District Adminstration, in his interview to Radio Free Asia, said on 14th May 2013 night “we are trying to move Bengalis to the safe places. But they are not willing to go.” Concerning this, a Rohingya expressed his feeling “now, tell me who wants to die? Who doesn’t want to stay alive? If they are really willing to help us, we are ready to take it with an open arm. But they are lying and rather trying to make us suffer more by taking us to the empty places with no shelter and food. What they only did was just issuing warning to us about the storm.”

According a Rohingya in Southern Maung Daw, the authority in his region did ask some Rohingyas to go to the high lands taking some food rations for three to four days. Their saying of helping Rohingyas with food ration and shelter is said to be completely false. And in Padin village tract, Military and NaSaKa did promise to help Rohingyas with food rations. But no ration has been provided yet.

In Mrebun Township, no displaced Rohingyas and Kamans have been taken to the safe places yet. In the Pauktaw Township, the displaced Rohingyas are going through some disasters. Many displaced Rohingyas from the camps of Nget Chaung are moving to the Sin Tet Maw (Sandama). However, there are no shelter and food for them over the place. One Rohingya victim cried “Authority just screamed at us to move to wherever we feel to be safe. They will not help. They are just asking us to move but do not tell us where and how to move. The places they want us to go to are more dangerous. They just want to kill us. Many of us will die if we don’t get shelter and food in time.’

On Monday night, more than 150 Rohingyas from a village called Domfara leaving for Sandama (Sin-Tet-Maw) died as their boat sunk evacuating ahead of the storm. They had been blocked by Rakhine extremists and trying to escape secretly at night. To their misfortune, many people died.

It hardly came as a surprise to Rohingyas about double standard behavior of the Burmese. Saying something to the world and doing something else. “We expected that government would lie and cheat as usual. They like to lie and feel happy in doing so. Ultimately, they can kill more Rohingyas without using their guns” exclaimed elderly Rohingya from Sittway.

“We plead the international community not to simply believe the fascist Burmese official narratives and their racist media. If you find hard to believe, please come and see our situation on the ground” he added. As the consequences of the government’s deceptions and apartheid tactics, the fear among Rohingyas escalate day by day. The Cyclone is expected to hit Arakan soon. Rohingyas were forced to the sea beaches. Just prepare your popcorn to enjoy while watching the news of another catastrophe to come TV tomorrow. Their fear is turning into a reality. The entire humanity will regret for not preventing yet another manufactured humanitarian disaster in their capability.
